Peddle Thorp Group is an independent company, practising in Architecture, Planning and Interior
Design. The Group consists of a number of business units which relate to different market areas
or specialist areas, with offices in Melbourne, Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai and the Middle East.
Peddle Thorp Architects is our commercial architectural arm and the core operation of our office.
We have approximately 50 architects within this group and we cover many sectors of the market
including sports architecture, commercial offices, hotels, urban design work, industrial and retail.
Having been in business since the mid 1980’s we confirm that we have the financial stability,
expertise and experience in order to successfully undertake the project. Furthermore we have in
place all relevant insurances and confirm their currency.

COURT AREA, NEW CAR PARKING AREAS, NEW
TENANCIES (INCLUDING A BEST & LESS STORE)
AND ASSOCIATED MALL AREA UPGRADES, AS
WELL AS EXTERNAL FACADE UPGRADES.

THE $45 MILLION REDEVELOPMENT OF THE
KARINGAL SHOPPING CENTRE IN FRANKSTON
INCLUDED THE ADDITION OF NEW MALL SPACES
AS WELL AS 3 SPECIALTY STORES AND 3 MINI
MAJORS, ALL DESIGNED TO BREATHE NEW LIFE
INTO THE CENTRE.

IN 2007 PEDDLE THORP UNDERTOOK THE $60
MILLION REDEVELOPMENT OF THE ENTIRE CENTRO
WHITEHORSE SHOPPING CENTRE IN BOX HILL,
IN COLLABORATION WITH RTKL CONSULTING ON
INTERIORS. WORKS INCLUDED A NEW OPEN FOOD
COURT, FRESH FOOD PRECINCT AND WIDENING
OF THE MALL SPACES. WORKS IN 2011 ADDED
ONE NEW MAJOR. FURTHER REDEVELOPMENTS
AND MAJOR ADDITIONS ARE PLANNED FOR 2015
BRINGING THE CENTRE UP TO WORLD CLASS
RETAIL STANDARDS.

TIFFANY NEW YORK RETAINED PTID ENVIRONMENTS,

PEDDLE THORP UNDERTOOK THE DESIGN AND
REVITALISATION OF THE GROUND FLOOR SHOPPING
PRECINCT AT THE REAR OF 500 COLLINS STREET
AS PART OF THE $35 MILLION REFURBISHMENT OF
LANDMARK TOWER. THE DESIGN INTEND WAS TO
REDEVELOP UNDERUTALISED SPACES INTO A ‘MEETING
HUB’ WITH CAFÉS, RETAIL, AND RESTAURANTS.

THE ICON CENTRE WILL COMPRISE A 12,500M2 MYER STORE,
SPECIALITY SHOPS, A FOOD EMPORIUM AND FIVE STAR HOTEL
CROWNING THE PROPOSED LANDMARK DEVELOPMENT IN THE
CENTRE OF HOBART. THE ESTIMATED TOTAL PROJECT COST
WILL BE IN THE ORDER OF $120 - $150 MILLION.

THE DESIGN REFLECTS THE INDUSTRIAL STYLE OF
THE AREA AND PROVIDES A BACKGROUND FOR THE
STUNNING MOTOR VEHICLES IT SHOWCASES.

THE BRIEF WAS TO CREATE A NEW CONCEPT
STORE FOR LA MANNA DIRECT SUPERMARKETS IN
THE ESSENDON FIELDS PRECINCT – A NEW IDEA
IN RETAIL AND MARKETING OF FRESH PRODUCE.
THE STORE ALSO HOUSES A LIQUOR OUTLET AND
A CAFÉ, AIMED TO MAKING SHOPPING A RELAXED,
ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE.

PEDDLE THORP TO DESIGN A SERIES OF BRANCH
OUTLETS DESTINED FOR THE WORLD MARKET.

PUBS AND CLUBS, ALL AIMED AT PROVIDING
A COMMUNITY BASED RETAIL ENVIRONMENT.

STAGES 3 AND 4 INVOLVED THE REDEVELOPMENT AND/
OR EXTENSIONS TO LEVELS 1 AND 2 RESPECTIVELY.
STAGE 5 WAS THE EXTENSION OF LEVEL 3.

THE ENTERTAINMENT AND LIFESTYLE PRECINCT
INCLUDING CARPARKING. THE FINAL STAGES
(6 & 7), DUE FOR COMPLETION AT THE END
OF 2012 WILL COMPLETE THE CENTRE WITH
MORE CARPARKING AND THE INCLUSION OF A
NEW MAJOR, MALL AND FURTHER FRESH FOOD
PRECINCT AND SPECIALITY SHOPS.
WITH THE SUCCESS OF LEVELS 5, 6 & 7 OF MYER’S
BOURKE STREET STORE, PEDDLE THORP HAVE BEEN
RETAINED TO UNDERTAKE THE FITOUT AND FITOUT
COMPONENTS FOR THE EXPANSION OF MYER INTO
THE NEW $1.4 BILLION EMPORIUM BUILDING.
THE WORKS WILL EXPAND MYER INTO LEVEL
4 OF THE NEW EMPORIUM VIA AN AIR BRIDGE
AND WILL PROVIDE MYER WITH AN ADDITIONAL
7,500M2 OF NEW SPACE, THE ALTERATION OF
AN EXISTING 10,000M2 OF EXISTING AREA.
