DON MOUTH NATURALIZATION AND PORT LANDS FLOOD PROTECTION PROJECT NOTICE OF FINAL SUBMISSION Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), on behalf of and in cooperation with Waterfront Toronto and the City of Toronto has completed the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Project (DMNP). As required under section 6.2(1) of the Environmental Assessment Act and according to the Terms of Reference approved by the Minister of the Environment on August 17, 2006, TRCA has submitted its environmental assessment to the Ministry of the Environment for review and approval. This project will transform the existing mouth of the Don River (the “Don Mouth”), including the Keating Channel, into a healthier, more naturalized river outlet to the Toronto Inner Harbour and Lake Ontario, and seeks to remove the risk of flooding on the lands.
