Slum Rehabilitation Policy –2010
(The Regulation for the Rehabilitation and Redevelopment of the slums 2010)
Objective of Slum Policy
To provide slum dwellers clean & pakka house
To provide legal framework to achieve above objectives.
Applicability
Regulations shall apply to slums on lands or plots or their part of lands
or plots irrespective of their ownership
Who is eligible?
“Eligible Slum Dweller” means a slum dweller. who is identified and
registered as on or before 01.12.2010. or any project affected person –
must be an Indian nation.
The Rehabilitation scheme – Shall contain the following:
Beneficiaries to be provided the dwelling units on the same plot of
36 sq.mt. Built up area.
Dwelling unit with all basic infrastructures.
Provide social infrastructure for every 500 dwelling units e.g. Anganwadi,
School & Health Infrastructure.

Duty of Scheme Developer...
The scheme developer shall:
• Organize all the eligible hutment dwellers into a Registered
Co-operative Housing Society/or a Registered Association.
• Seek consent of at least 75 % of the occupants;
Developer shall provide minimum 10% of additional dwelling units
for PAP ( Project Affected persons) at free of cost to ULB.
Minimum 10% of the cost of rehabilitation dwelling units for O&M
shall transferred to the co-operative housing society

The FSI shall be granted as under:
