Medicel AG Luchten 1262 CH-9427 Wolfhalden Switzerland TM ACCUJECT T +41 71 727 10 50 F +41 71 727 10 55 [email protected] www.medicel.com SCREW Injection Systems These models apply to the users of Alcon, AMO or Hoya injectors that are familiar with using TM screw-type injectors. Our new single-use ACCUJECT SCREW injection system allows a quick release of the lens from the loading chamber using the known push-mechanism. As soon as the screw thread has being grasped, the nurse hands over the injector to the surgeon who will then inject the lens smoothly and controlled via the screw advancement. ACCUJECT SCREW is available for hydrophobic lenses in the new backloaded version or also with the classical toploaded range which is suitable for all lens types. TM Backloaded ACCUJECT TM Injection Systems The ACCUJECT backloaded range was developed especially for users of hydrophobic lenses. It allows the simple insertion of the hydrophobic lens from the back of the loading chamber. The lens is then automatically positioned correctly within the loading chamber and when closing the wings, the haptic or optic can no longer be pinched. Different to the classical TM backloaded systems, the ACCUJECT backloaded models still enable the use of the proven silicone cushion-method. It is therefore impossible to ride over or scratch the lens as often TM seen when using a hard-tip injector. The intelligent ACCUJECT backloaded technique combines the advantages of the silicone cushion technology with the advantages of the classical backloaded injectors for the first time ever. TM Our backloaded technology has been applied to the standard ACCUJECT TM (syringe) and also to the ACCUJECT SCREW injection systems TM TM ENDOJECT Injection Systems (DMEK) With ENDOJECTTM, Medicel offers a classical injector which has been adjusted to the requirements of Descement Membrane Endothelium Keratoplasty (DMEK). It has been developed in cooperation with the University Eye Clinic Erlangen, Germany under the direction of Professor Dr. F. Kruse and it is fully CE certified. The use of cataract injection systems for the insertions of endothelium transplants on an off-label modus is no long necessary. This will optimise the application and creates additional legal security to the surgeon. We look forward to a continuous mutually beneficial relationship and wish you a wonderful festive season.
