THE DIOCESE OF ARUNDEL & BRIGHTON ECUMENICAL WALKING PILGRIMAGE REG CHARITY No. 252878 Chertsey Each summer the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton organises an ecumenical walk to a cathedral city, shrine or Sat 15th area exploring a particular theme or aspect of our faith and Christian heritage. Crawley In 2015 we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Sat 15th Walking Pilgrimage and the 50th anniversary of the Diocese Sun 30th Fri 21st of Arundel and Brighton, so we are returning to our roots, August the communities of Surrey and Sussex, in thanksgiving and Haywards Heath 2015 prayer. We stop to pray in the churches we pass, many of which are of architectural and historical interest, and all of which bring us into contact with the communities we are passing through. Transport: Our luggage is carried by van. Pilgrims make their own way to the start in Chertsey and home from Arundel. Requirements: All you have to be is over 16 (or accompanied by an adult) and be fit enough to walk an average of about 15 miles per day at a moderate pace — and a sense of humour is useful. Cost: The cost is only £160 for the whole way (£100 for under 21’s), £90 for one week or 1 to 6 nights at £15 per night. Breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and an evening meal are all included in the cost of the pilgrimage, which is organised by past pilgrims on a voluntary basis. Still Not Sure?
