Chuck a été nommé président et directeur général
en janvier 2014. Avant d’occuper ce poste, il était
directeur de l’exploitation, responsable de deux
unités des affaires stratégiques d'Agrium – (vente
en gros et au détail) ainsi que des ressources
humaines. Durant cette période à l’emploi
d’Agrium, il a également occupé les fonctions de
vice-président exécutif, Développement
d’entreprise, chef de la gestion des risques et
assumé la responsabilité de plusieurs secteurs
essentiels, notamment le développement et la
stratégie d’entreprise, l’ESSS, la durabilité et les
relations avec les intervenants, la vérification
interne et la gestion des risques.
Auparavant,
Chuck était vice-président,
Fabrication, responsable des installations de
production en gros pour Agrium.
Chuck possède une vaste expérience acquise non
seulement par l’entremise de ses fonctions au sein
d’Agrium, mais également grâce à l’emploi occupé
pour Nova Chemicals, un fabricant majeur de
l’industrie pétrochimique. Il est aussi membre de
l’Association of Professional Engineers,
Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta
(APEGGA) et de l’Ordre des ingénieurs de
l'Ontario (OIO).
Chuck est originaire de l’Ontario. Il détient un
baccalauréat ès sciences appliquées (génie
chimique) de l’Université de Waterloo et une
maîtrise en administration des affaires de
l’Université de Windsor.
Chuck was named as President & Chief Executive
Officer in January, 2014. Prior to this, he was
Chief Operating Officer, accountable for
Agrium’s two Strategic Business Units —
Wholesale and Retail as well as Human
Resources. During his time at Agrium he has also
held the roles of Executive Vice President,
Corporate Development & Chief Risk Officer
and was responsible for a number of core areas
including: Corporate Development and Strategy,
EHS&S, Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations,
Internal Audit, and Risk Management. Prior to
this, Chuck was Vice President, Manufacturing
responsible for Agrium’s Wholesale
manufacturing facilities.
Chuck has broad based experience obtained not
only through his roles within Agrium but through
a career with Nova Chemicals, a major
petrochemical manufacturer. He is also a member
of the Association of Professional Engineers,
Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta
(APEGGA) and Professional Engineers Ontario
(PEO).
Chuck is originally from Ontario. He has a
Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical
Engineering) from the University of Waterloo and
an MBA from the University of Windsor.
