Selbstverliebt, versunken im Zauber der eigenen Ausstrahlung, stehen diese Geschöpfe etwas unsicher in der Welt, immer auf der Suche nach einem neuen, kleinen und amüsanten Kick. Die Gefahr der sie umgebenden Szenerien dringt nicht in ihr Bewusstsein. Rauchende Kriegsschiffe, trudelnde Flugzeuge, in Rüstungen gepackte Samurai. Der Blick der Unschuldigen fällt, ohne das Geschehen wahr zu nehmen, durch diese bizarren Kulissen. Gefahren wirken niedlich, das Drohpotential der von Axel Sanson komponierten Fiktion, ist in dieser Welt nicht mehr real. Das Kriegsgerät vergangener Zeit mutiert zur Folklore, gibt die Bühne für den modischen Auftritt des Zeitgeistes. Wie in der Lasurtechnik legt Axel Sanson diese verschiedenen Zustände der Wirklichkeit übereinander. Axel Sanson wurde 1975 in Paris geboren, wo er auch lebt und arbeitet. Er studierte Jura und Kunstgeschichte.
