The vis wasn't good, the environment wasn't special. Dive 2 was much better, the coral was more beautiful, more life around. Besides, we had one obviously unexperienced diver which resulted in us leaving the water sooner and him kicking up dirt. Adds to the overall experience. We strongly disagree with the displayed visibility after the two dives. We independently assumed it to be less than 10m, while our instructor wrote 15m. The day before the dive we were told you could dive until you had 50 bars left, then take a safety stop. And if someone else than your buddy finished the air before you, he and his buddy go up. This was not the case today in neither dives. In the first dive we had 65 & 80 bars left at the surface, and in the 2nd 70 bars. Instructor; Energetic and fun above the water but regular/good under. Dive gear; one inhaler was leaking, both air out and I could taste salt the whole dive. hasn't happened before. In land faC; Shower, pool, cleaning facilities, lockers etc. great and not standard at dive stations boat; needed a suncover. Overall a great experience, that i absolutely loved. Boat, dive gear and confined water practise all positively contributed to the dive experience in open water. The communication before arrival and ease of use of the website was excellent and made me choose Poseidon. All of the instructors have been very friendly and patient and did a very good job of helping get ready, explaining and pointing out interesting wildlife. Max helped with any initial questions about the open water course, costs and was amenable to me studying on my own with manual instead of the eLearning. The front desk staff was welcoming and snacks and drinks were much appreciated before, during and after dives. I would have liked my instructor to be more clear about exercises during our open water dive. Perhaps, explain in detail what had to be done before entering the water. I understand the courses are set for a certain duration of time, but felt like the course and instructor should not let that detract from the students feelings of security. 02/01/2015 13:43 Vea las respuestas del encuestado This dive school was professional, however, we were not satisfied with our instructor. We asked to rest at the surface of the ocean for one minute, and he gave us an unsatisfactory response and did not want to let us rest. He did not listen to our concerns. If we were unclear in directions, he would not clarify so we did not know what we were doing wrong and how to correct it. If he could be more communicative and patient with the students, that would be a better learning environment. Also, he left at the end of the course without telling us and did not sign our logbook. The school, itself, however, is good. Max was very responsive to our questions before arrival and the front desk was good. It would be helpful to have a better idea of the overall plan for the openwater dive (ie. dive times, when and how long each day will take).
