Innovative Electronics Recycling
(IER) will be on-site at Lakeside
Town Hall from 9 am to 12 pm on
Saturday, April 18th. There is no
fee charged for this service
(FREE!) Items accepted to be
recycled include:
*computers, monitors, printers
*phone systems, cell phones, radios
*medical equipment safe for recycling
*industrial electronics, wire and cable
*electronic sporting goods
*Pretty much anything with a cord that does not
contain freon.
The items will initially be evaluated for re-use,
then if not practical, dismantled and disposed of in
industry acceptable processes that are primarily
dismantling into segregated commodities such as
steel, plastic, copper, aluminum, and glass.
Items that remain environmentally sensitive are
handled through firms that specialize in that item,
such as CRT glass to facilities that are licensed to
handle lead, batteries to battery recycling firms,
etc. The remaining materials are sent to recognized North American recycling facilities where the
recycled materials are reprocessed and displace
the use of valuable new materials. Again making
an impact in the world we live in.
Items that carry sensitive data will be destroyed
when instructed by the original owner. An electronic file of the destruction can be provided.
Through affiliates, data can be shredded to a
state that prohibits the recovery of information.
IER urges owners to delete all files and data that
could be private or confidential.
Other items that are simply proprietary can be
destroyed at the owner’s request.
IER was established to be a sustainable electronic recycling facility. Join us in making the world
we live in a better place for the next generation.
