*New* for 2015 Banquet Table Scape Design Contest March 7th, 2015 Theme: A Night of Fantasy Have your table scape displayed at the Recognition Banquet. Show your peers what you can do as a shop, school, or an individual. The table scape design contest will take place in the Pantlind Ballroom on the second floor of the Amway Grand Hotel. Table scape designs set-‐
up will be Saturday, March 7th, 2015 from 1pm to 3pm with judging starting at 3:10pm sharp. All table scape designs will be used after judging for the Recognition Banquet and Industry Awards Ceremony table décor. Table Scape must be designed by an individual designer or a team representing a single shop or school to the theme: “A Night of Fantasy”. Contestants: • Can reserve seats at their table scape table if so desired. • Will be provided a standard 72” round banquet table, with black table linens, the table will seat 10 guests. • Are not allowed to bring their own linens or chair covers, must use the black linens and chairs provided. • Are required to use hotel provided utensils and dinnerware. • Will provide all flowers, hard-‐goods or other design materials and must be completed by 3pm or contestants will be disqualified. • No open flames or electricity are allowed, only battery operated props or covered candles allowed. • Design space limited to 24” diameter and 72” height to accommodate 10 guests for dinner. • Any design with props or flowers outside of the designated design space will be disqualified. • All table scape designs must be removed following the awards ceremony; the table scape design competition committee will dispose of all props and designs that have not been taken down after shortly after the ceremony concludes. • Michigan Floral Association and Amway Grand Plaza Hotel are not responsible for any materials that are lost or stolen from this competition. • Contestants are required to have a Weekend Flower Pass. • Contestants must have table scape registrations submitted by January 30th, 2015.
