MARKET ROUND UPDATE
Last week Nifty opened on strong note but on higher side failed to
breach 9000 levels. In Friday’s session sharp selling pressure was
seen across the board that dragged nifty below 8800 levels in
intraday session but finally it closed around 8809 levels down by
almost 0.30% on weekly basis.
• Fresh short accumulation was seen in nifty and bank nifty fut.
in Friday’s session whereas cnxit fut. closed on flat note with
increase in OI.
• Selected long positions were added in stocks like andhrabank,
ibrealest, hcltech, adanient, jpassociat and star.
• Selling pressure was seen in banking, auto and capital good
sector. Major selling was seen in stocks like bankbaroda, tcs,
sbin, icicibank, hdfc and m&m.
• From higher levels long unwinding pressure was seen in stocks
like acc, divislab voltas, suntv, titan and bhartiartl.
This week markets are expected to open on flat note but will
continue to see selling pressure at higher levels. Last week heavy
call writing was seen at 9000 strike option and that will act as
strong resistance for nifty whereas on lower side nifty will see
immediate support around 8770 and below that can test 8720.
