As we did in 2014, Snyder’s-Lance will be guaranteeing all new items for a specified period of time for each new item launched in 2015. By guaranteeing new items, we are providing an opportunity to aggressively pursue new opportunities without concern for realizing the expense of inventory that may not sell in time. As was the case in 2014, we are very confident our new items will perform well in the marketplace and we’re putting our guarantee behind it to show our confidence. In fact, in 2014, our new items produced more than $85,000,000 in sales; anchored by strong performances from SOH Sweet and Salty Pieces, Lance Bolds and Cape Cod Limited Batch Kettle Chips. These were all high-quality new items, which were aided by your commitment to execution in the marketplace. In 2015, we’re looking to build upon our success and are striving to meet our distribution goals in the first 4 weeks following each item’s launch. Our ability to execute quickly will get our new items in our consumer’s hands quicker. Therefore generating stronger sales and maximizing the equity value of your route. All new items (Salty or Bakery) will be covered for a specified number of days after launching. (See below for specific categories) We believe this coverage will give you ample time to fully integrate the new products into your stores. If one of the new items reaches code date within this time frame, your business will be refunded the cost at which you purchased it at the warehouse; using a C2 transaction at the warehouse or by a DSM if located at a remote location. Bakery – 180 Days after launch Salty – 150 Days after launch *Cape Cod Dipping Shells, Bowties, Eat smart ovals are an exception to salty – Please see calendar for week coverage In order for you to receive credit, you need to return any “out of code” product back to one of our facilities or your DSM. We will provide you a C2 credit based on observation of the product with the “out of code” date. As always, C2 transactions will credit you back at the cost paid for the product.
