This locking handle has been specially designed for commercial vehicles. The zinc diecasting has a heavy section of considerable strength as
will be seen from the illustration. There is a complementary non-locking
handle similar in design. Holes in escutcheons are on 1.75” centers. The
long plain 5/16” square shaft made of mild steel can be cut by the customer to his particular need. Finish is bright chrome. Weighs 18 oz.

Outside, “L” Style, Key Locking
No. 1000 Series Lever Handle
For metal or wood application Disc-tumbler, can be masterkeyed.
Furnished for one, two or three point locking; for right or left hand doors;
90° or 180° rotation (90° RH regularly furnished). 90° right hand handles rotate counter-clockwise; 90° left hand handles rotate clockwise;
180° handles are reversible for right or left hand doors. Key is removable in locked or unlocked position for either 90° or 180° handles.
Square spindle allows cams to be mounted at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock.
Rods and guides are not furnished.
Spindle is regularly furnished 25/32” long (measured from back of
escutcheon). Also available 1” to 3-1/2” long in 1/4” increments.
HANDLES
In addition to mounting shown, handles are available with attaching holes
through the face of the escutcheon for surface mounting--1-1/2” C to C,
countersunk for #10-32 screws (not furnished). When ordering, add
suffix S to number, i.e., 1000S, etc.
A plug removal access hole has been added to the shank of the handle to
allow for removal of the plug assembly for rekeying purposes. To
remove plug, insert key and rotate 90 degrees. Insert end of small tool,
paper clip, etc. in access hole and depress retainer while pulling key and
plug out of handle.

HANDLES
Sometimes a cam-lock is asked to do too much! Where a
heavy rod mechanism is involved or a large door with badly
fitting edges, the torque load on the key can be excessive,
causing it to bend or break.
Our ‘compact’ handle neatly fills the gap! Taking very
little more space than a cam-lock, it removes the load
from the key and, with specially shaped latch bar,
it can be used even on gasketed doors. The
‘easy-fix’ mounting escutcheon gives a neat
appearance and prevents removal. The handle fits
through panel aperture and is secured without the need for dismantling. It has a heavy duty steel latch-bar with leading edge and ‘shuttered’ lock cylinder for dust and water protection. Choice of rotation
available is 90° LH/RH or 180° non-handed.

The steel pan is normally black powdercoated, with a molded gasket supplied as standard. The handle is chromium-plated with shuttered lock
