Why Audencia? Audencia Nantes School of Management is one of Europe’s leading business schools, located in the city Time magazine named as the best place to live in Europe. Audencia, founded in 1900, is one of France’s elite Grande École higher education institutions, world-renowned for management education and research. It is an internationally focused institution with students from over 50 countries and more than 180 international academic partners around the world. Just two hours from Paris, Nantes Métropole is a thriving modern city with old-world flair and has approximately 600,000 residents. Building on more than 100 years of experience in business education, Audencia Nantes is among a tiny group of elite institutions in Europe. It has earned all three major international academic accreditations for business schools (Equis, AACSB and AMBA) – a feat that less than one per cent of business schools worldwide can match. Audencia Nantes was also the first French higher education institution to sign the United Nations’ Global Compact, and among the first institutions in the world to sign the UN’s Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), which had a hand in defining evidence of Audencia’s longstanding commitment to social responsibility values. The region is a popular tourist destination, drawing around two million visitors per year, and offers countless sights and attractions for students to take advantage – both within the city and in the natural surroundings. Social activities & practical details During the Summer Term, we organize an exciting social programme including activities such as: a guided tour of Nantes / the Fête de la Musique (June 21st) / la Nuit de l’Erdre (July 3rd-4th) / a farewell dinner / a language exchange event / a trip to the beach/ etc… There is always something going on in Nantes, especially in the summer! Students’ feedback I really enjoyed my time at Audencia, because it was so much more than just a summer school programme. We had excellent teachers, as well as host families that gave us a real taste of what life was like in France. The programme was varied, with lots of different lecture topics, as well as trips and visits. I also loved the vibrant city of Nantes. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, which I would recommend to anyone given the opportunity. Alexandra B., Exeter University, Summer School 2014 participant Participation in Summer School of Management was a very good decision during my studies. Audencia is a very reputable university in France so the course that I chose (Marketing to Europe) was a good combination of theory and practice (project). Course was led by experienced and international professors. What is more, the city of Nantes is very picturesque and cultural. I can really recommend Audencia School of Management for both: bachelor and master students.
