Koha Aroha August 7th to 10th 2014 Gifts of Love Koha Aroha is Maori: To give in love. This is what this weekend is about. We want to continue this concept shared by Wai Turoa Morgan and offer all, who feel part of the Whanau or who would like to be part of it, to come together. This is meant to be a weekend for seeing each other again or getting to know each other, a weekend of sharing and healing. All the teachings, all the wisdoms as well as the knowledge will be given as a Koha – a gift from the heart. The loving gifts, shared and handed on will differ according to the wisdom-teachers and the energies of all coming together for these four very special days. It will be possible to partake in rituals and healing-sessions, to get in contact with nature-spirits, to set out for inner journeys, to become a channel for art¸ to experience your own soul’s wisdom, to share in a community, to enjoy all; to listen to the beautiful and healing music of Ahura and simply be part of all of that. All participants are very welcome to share their gifts and their knowledge, whether it is through teachings, working with smaller or larger groups, or one to one treatments or sessions/counseling. Whanau Hui (Meeting) Get Together Exchanging Sharing Shamanic Wisdom and Spiritual Gifts Ayako Goh is an artist who also works with nature-spirits a lot. She talks with trees, stones and especially with crystals. With her healing art she paints personal pictures intuitively. While working, drawing or painting she serves as a vessel for the person she is painting, letting colors, shapes, feelings or thoughts flow into the canvas. While doing that she doesn’t know what it is that she is painting or drawing until the moment her hand finally stops. Ayako wants her art to touch people on a soullevel and to perpetrate alleviation or healing through observing her pictures. She knows that each of her pictures is fulfilled with unique vitality and energy. Klaus Wintersteller is Koha Aroha’s organizer this year. He uses the Didgeridoo to lead his listeners into their dream-time - meditations or journeys of the spirit according to acute themes. He offers sound-healings with the Didgeridoo on request. He is a teacher of the Didgeridoo and the Haka, the traditional dance of the Maori. Wai Turoa Morgan is a Maori Matakite (seer) from New Zealand. Being connected directly with the ancestors and the universe while working, she is guided and fed information, enabling healing for single persons as well as groups. Wai Turoa Morgan has a very empathic and gentle way of working with people. This year will be Wai’s last stay in Europe. She will tell us all about her new mission and plans in New Zealand. Dave Hegglun is a famous master-carver and healer from New Zealand. He is deeply connected to nature receiving his knowledge from nature-spirits. His huge treasure of knowledge about healing-herbs and plants is no miracle –he talks directly to the little people, to rivers, trees and stones. Dave shares his wisdom and knowledge in his very loving and natural way. Concert with Ahura … and this source knows of no end ... inspired by the incomparable Persian mystic and poet Mevlana Dschelaleddin Rumi (1207 – 1276) AHURA & Friends led by the Iranian multiinstrumentalist Mohammad Eghbal combine traditional elements of Persian music-culture with sounds from other cultures in a unique way. Numerous world instruments are used - like the ney (the Persian readflute), the oud (the Persian lute), the harp, the didgeridoo as well as various percussion-instruments. Important for AHURA and also for traditional Sufi-music is the singing of mantras. Always when mantras of this tradition or others are sung, our very own ancient self-healing powers are invoked and can be reawakened. A never before heard range of meditative and stirring elements is the mixture that makes AHURA’S compositions the unforgettable live event it is for its audience.
