WIS Tooling GmbH and Persico S.p.A. are starting a strategic partnership. PRESS RELEASE Emsdetten/Nembro (BG), Italy, July 2014 – The firm WIS Tooling GmbH headquartered in Emsdetten and the company Persico S.p.A. with head office in Nembro (BG), Italy, started a strategic partnership on 01.07.2014. This partnership is aimed at being represented more internationally with a considerably broader product portfolio. The company WIS Tooling, established in 2004, specialises in tools for processing plastics by means of special technologies for vehicle interior panelling parts. These include in particular foaming tools, thermoforming tools and coupling tools. Its customers include OEMs and system suppliers. WIS Tooling GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Josef Weischer GmbH & Co. KG, Emsdetten, a company with a 50-year tradition. Josef Weischer GmbH achieves sales of EUR 13 million with 100 employees. It is a well-known partner to all important German automotive manufacturers in the field of gauge construction. The main customers include the VW Group, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Daimler and Ford. Persico automotive Division is part of the Persico Group, which is active in the field of automotive, boat building and rotomoulding. In the automotive sector it manufactures equipment and tools for interior trims, composites and acoustic functional parts. With its staff of 350 employees, the company generates sales of EUR 90 million. Since the acquisition of Autoplas Systems Ltd. in September 2013, Persico has been represented with its own production facilities in USA. In 2013 Persico Asia started also his activities for production of automotive equipment and tools close by Shanghai in China. The partnership will be a key element for both partners, in order to be represented as suppliers of complete systems all over the world.
