WYOMING VALLEY WEST SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUNCES
OPENING DAY/ORIENTATION DAY SCHEDULES
FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR
Mr. Charles Suppon, Superintendent of Schools, has announced the
fall schedule for classes which begins on Tuesday, August 26, 2014.
All registrations will take place at the Wyoming Valley West Central
Office which is located at 450 North Maple Avenue, Kingston. To
expedite the registration process, please call for an appointment, date
and time. When registering, please ensure the following documents
are provided:

Social Security Card
Immunization Records
Proof of Residency (Lease Agreement or Utility Bill)
A Kindergarten Parent-Child Orientationwill be held on Monday,
August 25, 2014 for all children entering kindergarten and their
parents. The orientation program will begin at 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
at the child’s school. No district bus transportation will be available.
Sixth and ninth grade Student Orientations will take place on Friday,
August 22, 2014 at the Middle School and High School respectively
beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. dismissal. Limited busing
will be available for these orientations. Please check the Wyoming
Valley West web site at www.wvwsd.org for these schedules and the
complete 2014/2015 school calendar.
The first day of school, Tuesday, August 26, 2014, will be a full day
for all students. Breakfast and lunch will be served on the first day of
school. Please check bus schedules, which can be found on the
Wyoming Valley West web site on or about August 18, 2014.
High School students report at 7:25 A.M.,and are dismissed at 2:22
P.M.; Middle School students report to homerooms at 8:05 A.M. and
are dismissed at 3:00 P.M.; for Kindergarten through Grade 5
students, doors open at 8:45 A.M. and the late bell rings at 8:55 A.M.;
elementary students are dismissed at 3:40 P.M.

Although a limited number of buses will be used, service will be provided from all
regular bus stops. Bus routes and numbers, however, will not likely correlate with
vehicles providing regular daily service beginning on August 26, 2014.
Buses will board at 8:55 A.M. and depart the Middle School at 10:30 a.m. on
August 22, 2014. Regular daily dismissal and departure are 3:00 P.M. and 3:05
P.M. respectively.
