We have designed our surgical gowns to enhance the performance of your
surgical team. All Medline surgical gowns are generously cut in the chest and
sleeves for greater comfort and freedom of movement. Each gown features
a hook & loop neck closure for an easily adjustable, gap-free custom fit.
Medline’s wide range of sizes and lengths satisfies the needs of every person
in the O.R. with high-tech breathable fabrics keeping the wearer comfortable
and dry, even during long procedures.
Abundant Choices
You want options in style, fabric and reinforcements to satisfy any preference
in the OR. Medline´s five gown families each feature their own distinct fabric
and styles. With Medline, clinicians have the widest available range of choice
in size, length, reinforcement type, and sleeve construction.
Dependable Protection
Medline’s gown fabrics offer incredible protection. Low-linting and latex-free, each gown meets or exceeds performance
recommendations of the EN13795* surgical gown standard. The Essential and Advanced materials’ high hydrostatic head
gives wearers the protection they need and the comfort they deserve. The unique Ultimate gown offers all-over impervious
protection with exceptional breathability and coolness. Our sleeve seams are glued to ensure greater tearing resistance and
optimum comfort. The breathable film in our poly reinforcement not only offers the highest level of protection (EN13795 High
Performance) but ensures the user has increased levels of comfort.
Colour Coding in accordance to the EN13795 standard
All Medline Surgical Gowns feature intuitive colour coding in accordance to the EN13795* standard. Product labels, neck
bindings and transfer tabs display Purple for Standard Performance or Blue for High Performance. Droplets tie back to the
US standard AAMI levels 1 to 4**. These colours, as well as the droplets on the gown itself, make it easy to choose the ideal
gown for the individual requirements of any surgical procedure.
*The EN 13795 is the European harmonized standard specifying requirements for single-use and reusable covering (i. e. surgical gowns, surgical drapes) used as medical devices for patients, clinical staff and
equipment and intended to prevent the transmission of infective agents between patients and clinical staff during invasive surgical procedures.
**AAMI: Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. The AAMI PB70 is the US reference standard establishing a system of classification for protective apparel and drapes based on their liquid
barrier performance and specifies related labeling requirements and standardized test methods.
