adopted, for the purposes of community consultation, the following draft local
planning policy provisions:
6F – Drainage Infill Contributions Provisions.
8C – Storm Water Management Policy Provisions.
The draft Policy Provisions seek to:
1. Update the volumetric capacity of stormwater to be retained on a lot as a
result of development;
2. Specify ‘on lot’ measures to improve the quality of stormwater entering
the City’s drainage system and the environment, consistent with contemporary
water sensitive urban design measures;
3. Update and revise the methodology for developer contributions for
upgrading of the City’s local and main drainage system where the target level
of ‘on lot’ retention of stormwater is impractical or where subdivision and
development will contribute to the need to upgrade public infrastructure;
4. Ensure the policy provisions integrate with existing Building Code of
Australia requirements, Australian Standards and Engineering Technical
Specifications for ease of use.
A copy of the draft Policy Provisions may be viewed at the City Offices, Southern
Drive, Busselton and the Busselton and Dunsborough Libraries during opening

TELL YOUR HERITAGE STORY
The City of Busselton’s Municipal Heritage Inventory
(MHI) provides a record of places of cultural
heritage significance to our local community.
The MHI has been reviewed and a draft is advertised for
public comment, however, the City needs your help to
update listing information.
If you own or have significant knowledge of a local
heritage site listed in the MHI, please consider
making a submission to provide up to date details and
additional heritage information not yet recorded. Your
submission can help the City to build the MHI as a record
of significant places and representation of our shared
community history.
Ten significant contributions will be chosen, with
submitters winning a copy of the book ‘Outstation on the Vasse’, which provides
an account of Busselton in pioneering times.
To be eligible, please make your submission in writing to the Chief Executive
Officer, Locked Bag 1, Busselton WA 6280 prior to close of business
26 February 2013, quoting City reference PO13/07. Please provide evidence
