I do not think that watching English-language movies is a good way to learn
English. There are two reasons why I feel this way. For one, actors in such
movies use words and phrases common in real conversation. These are too
difficult for most learners. It would be better for them to study basic
vocabulary and grammar. Another reason is entertainment. Movies should be
for entertainment, not study. Watching movies over and over in order to
study kills your enjoyment of them. For these reasons, I think watching
English-language movies is not a good way to learn English.
