Robert-Koch-Platz 9 • 10115 Berlin Call for proposals for the German Respiratory Society’s research prizes The German Respiratory Society will award two research prizes, each of €10,000, in the coming year. The prizes are aimed to support and promote the next generation of researchers in the field of respiratory research. These prizes will be awarded for the best research achievements, one for clinical and one for lab based research achievements. The publications must be in German or English and may not have been or be submitted for any other prize. Already published work may only be considered if the date of publication is less than one year prior to the application deadline. Groups of related publications may be submitted and they may be accompanied by a single abstract. If the publications are the result of group research or the applicant is not first named author of a relevant publication, the application should include a statement of the proportion of the work attributed to the applicant. The applicants should be under 40 years old and working in the Federal Republic of Germany at the closing date for the application. Where the basic research for the publication to be considered for the prize has demonstrably been carried out in Germany this is also acceptable. Both prizes will be awarded at the DGP congress in Stuttgart during the opening ceremony on 22 March 2017. Applicants should submit their application by 16 January 2017. The submitted work should be in pdf format no larger than 5MB. It should be accompanied by a list of publications and CV, and be sent to the General Secretary, Professor Felix Herth at [email protected].
