Excellent opportunity to join a global financial services firm as Linux Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will
have strong understanding of UNIX/Linux system fundamentals and practical experience with system programming, and
be tasked with, as part of the UNIX engineering team, designing and implementing Linux and UNIX infrastructure for the
company.
Responsibilities:
As part of the team, identify and develop new solutions to ensure the plant runs smoothly
Integrate, maintain, and support in-house, 3rd-party and open source tooling to maintain the UNIX platform
Assist with escalations from the UNIX operations team on a variety of production UNIX issues
Requirements:
No formal qualification required; however, a bachelor's degree, RHCE, ITIL Foundation certification advantageous
Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux system fundamentals
Strong Perl or Python programming skills - writing secure, testable, and robust code
Effective troubleshooting skills

Experience managing large scale DNS infrastructure and services
Strong knowledge of network protocols
