ZAUBERN FÜR WORKCAMP SWITZERLAND!
Workcamp Switzerland braucht zum Weiterbestehen Deine Unterstützung. Wir haben uns im
2016 mit einem starken Engagement für die neuen Projekte in den Kantonen Wallis, Tessin,
Graubünden, Jura, Aargau und Zürich und für die Erweiterung der „Zugang für Alle-Initiative“
auf Migranten eingesetzt.
Dazu M.Q. ein Asylsuchender aus Afghanistan: „Wir haben viel gelernt bei der Arbeit, zu Kultur
und Sprache und haben wir viele Informationen bekommen über die Schweiz“. – Unter

Die internationalen Partner planen bereits die Saison 2017, aber auch dieses Jahr findest du
noch Einsatzmöglichkeiten, sei es in Asien, Afrika, Südamerika oder sogar Europa. Neben den

UNSERE TIPPS FÜR DEN WINTER:
CULTURAL EXPERIENCE IN THE DESERT OF MOROCCO, 26/12/16 – 02/01/17
The aim of this cultural project is to offer the participants the opportunity to get to know the
Moroccan culture, especially the one from the south of Morocco, the Desert of Sahara, which
fascinates everyone who comes to visit. The participants will have the opportunity not only to
visit the Desert as tourist, but to enjoy our culture from our hands and to get immersed into it,
participating in several activities proposed. The main aim of the project is to promote
intercultural exchange. It is not a classical Workcamp because Volunteers will have some
pottery courses and learn how to cook some delicious Moroccan food next to the voluntary
work.
NEW YEAR PUNKAHARJU, FINNLAND, 28/12/16 - 07/01/17
The host organization Ikko is a modern, non-political and non-religious folk high school offering education for Finnish and international students and groups throughout the year. They also
host special target groups such as students with special needs as well as young asylum seekers. The school surroundings need maintaining so the volunteers will work with seasonal tasks.
If there is snow the volunteers will assist in clearing the snow, for example. The volunteers will
join the preparations and activities of the big New Year party of the folk high school. Be prepared to share the New Year traditions of your country and bring some recipes with you. There
are possibilities for various sport and creative activities. Sauna and ice swimming facilities are
also available.

CULTURAL EXCHANGE CHAMAZI, TANZANIA, 12/01/17 – 28/01/17
In Tanzania as well around the world many people still barely meet anyone outside of a small
circle of family, friends and community. The cultural exchange project is aiming to serve as an
important means of introducing people around the world to realities they might not normally
be exposed to. The project will involve most of the cultural aspects to enable participants to
describe people’s religion, spirituality, economic, family and community life, sports, foods or
arts. The focus is on PEOPLE and what they do in a given place or time. Be prepared to work
with children (at the nursery schools), participate in cultural exchange through creative activities, learning African traditional dances, songs, drumming and Kiswahili language. Flexibility is
required for extra activities related to the theme. Discussions, debates, cultural performances,
theatre performance, and round table discussions on cultural issues will be organized involving
participants of the project, community members & visited places.

Workcamp Switzerland Saison 2017
Für 2017 sind mit neuen und bewährten Projektpartnern spannende Workcamps und zum Teil
längere Einsatzmöglichkeiten in den verschiedensten Landesteilen geplant:






Ein neues Artcamp in Plasselb (FR) mit unserem bewährten Projektpartner fRilingue.
Eine weitere Projektpartnerschaft mit dem Gäste- und Seminarhaus „Im Sonnenbühl“
auf dem Üetliberg in Zürich. Geplant ist eine längere Einsatzmöglichkeit in den Sommermonaten.
Von Juli bis September finden mehrere Langzeiteinsätze auf dem Demeterhof Birchhof
in Oberwil-Lieli Im Kanton Aargau statt.
In Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Projektpartnern im Valle Bavona und Valle Maggia (TI)
sowie auf der Alp Flix (GR) und in Beatenberg (BE) sind diverse Workcamps angedacht.
Unsere Klassiker in Fontana Passugg (GR), auf der Schatzalp (GR) und bei fRilingue in
Cudrefin (VD), Schwarzsee und Estavayer (FR) werden voraussichtlich wieder durchgeführt.
Für Sommer 2017 ist eine Praktikumsstelle geplant.
Campleader gesucht
Für neue und altbewährte Camps suchen wir zwischen Juni und September 2017 wiederum
Campleitende. Die meisten unserer Schweizer Workcamps sind zugänglich für Menschen mit
und ohne Behinderung. Während eines Campleiterwochenendes anfangs Juni werden Interessierte auf ihre Arbeit vorbereitet. Englischkenntnisse, Sensibilität für verschiedene Kulturen
und Lebensrealitäten, Ausdauer, Durchsetzungsvermögen und hohe Sozialkompetenz sind
wichtige Voraussetzungen für diese Positionen.
Neben Kost, Logis und den Reisespesen erhältst du eine Entschädigung von 300 - 400 CHF für
den zweiwöchigen Einsatz, ein Workcamp im Ausland, sowie ein Zeugnis. – Ein Engagement
das auch als Vorpraktikum für einen sozialen Beruf sinnvoll sein kann.
