The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Chair Discrete Mathematics and Algebra, offers a
temporary
Researcher / PhD position
part time (75%) for 3 years in the context of a DFG funded research project. Payment is according to
TV-L E 13.
Field of activity:
Scientific research within the project “Minors in Graphs with only a few colorings” (PI Prof. Dr. Matthias
Kriesell) in the area of graph theory, focusing Hadwiger’s Conjecture. The successful candidate should
have an excellent background in combinatorics, in particular structural graph theory.
Conditions of employment:
• Degree in Mathematics (MSc or higher)
• Excellent background in combinatorics, in particular structural graph theory
• English language skills including scientific writing
