• Solvil • Sol Description A food for special medical purposes. A powdered supplement containing the branched chain amino acids (valine, isoleucine and leucine) in a water-soluble form. Indications Solvil is for use in the dietary management of urea cycle disorders or other inborn errors of metabolism requiring branched chain amino acid (BCAA) supplementation. Solvil can be administered in a number of ways; • Empty a sachet of Solvil into the beaker provided and add at least 20ml water. Secure the lid and shake for 10 seconds. Drink immediately. • Mix a sachet into patient’s food and serve. Each 5g sachet provides approximately 5g of BCAA. Important NOTICE Must only be given to patients under strict medical supervision. Suitable from 6 months of age. Children under 12 months; when made into solution or added to infant formula, use immediately and discard any remaining within 1 hour.
