2016 'Open Class' Activity
We intend to hold the 'Open Class' activity again in the first and second semester. In the past, we have
asked teachers to choose the classes they are willing to have observed by other teachers, but this year, all
classes will be 'open.'
１．Aim
This is part of the professional development program that will allow teachers to get new ideas and
improve their classroom skills.
２．Target classes
All undergraduate, graduate, and special Japanese course classes (except when impractical for whatever
reason.)
Please fill in the attached form 別紙 and submit it if:
1. you have any particular classes you think might be very beneficial for other teachers to observe.;
2. you have classes you would prefer other teachers NOT to observe.
Please submit 別紙 to Kyoumu group by October 28 (Fri).
３．Period
From Nov 7 (Mon) to Nov 19 (Sat)
４．Guidelines
（1）You can observe freely any open class.

Please observe as many classes as possible.
②
In particular, try to observe classes given by 2015 Education Award Winners.
（2）After each observation, you have to submit “公開授業見学メモ(Memo of Open Class observation)” to
Kyoumu group. ※Please download the “公開授業見学メモ” form from “教員用 Web システム(website for
teachers) ” or use the folder on [my computer] →[Kadai] of File_Server→kyoumuka→ 教員間授業公開フ
ォルダ
If you use an electronic file, send it to [[email protected]].
５．Practical use of memo of class observation
The specific use of these memos (“公開授業見学メモ”) will be announced following discussion in the FD
committee.
６．Other information
An explanation of 'Open Class' will be posted on student notice boards and the WEB. Teachers should
also notify students about this activity before the 'Open Class' period begins.
