Product information
Sealing compound
93165267 – 15 03 305
The product is an RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) silicone liquid gasket developed for flange
surfaces that have to withstand extreme vibrations, such as valve covers, oil sumps, water pumps
etc.
Excellent chemical resistance to engine coolant and engine oil.
Application
The product shows excellent adhesion even on slightly soiled surfaces. In order to achieve optimum
results, however, humidity, grease and other dirt should be removed from the mating surface.
According to the joint conditions (width, roughness depths, bumps, etc.), apply a suitable quantity of
the silicone evenly on the mating surface and join, position correctly and fix the parts within a period of
ten minutes.
Excess material can easily be removed with a piece of cloth.
The degree of hardening of the silicone varies depending on the layer thickness, the ambient
temperature and relative humidity. At +25°C and 55 % relative humidity, the surface starts drying after
15 minutes.
Immediate leak tightness for pressure and engine tests is achieved.
The application temperature range is in a range of -60°C to +200°C.
