She has extensive experience teaching and living abroad—Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Cambodia. She is a regular guest on SBS radio, talking on intercultural matters. 第2回 Kelly Quinn: Admiral Perry, Atomic Bombs and Ninja: Japanese History from the View of an Outsider 12月1日(木) 共通 A 棟302 15:00 ~ 16:30 Kelly Quinn grew up in Michigan, in the United States. As an undergraduate, at the University of Michigan, he majored in both history and English. He has written a number of English textbooks, including Japanese History You Should Know, and is currently an Associate Professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology. 第3回 Nobuaki Hirose: “A Japanese Painter's Developing Style —from Africa to Cambodia” 12月15日(木) 共通 A 棟302 13:00 ~ 14:30 Nobuaki Hirose is a 1975 graduate of Waseda University. He served for many years as a coordinator in JICA offices in many countries—Kenya, Tanzania, and Cambodia. When he has not been abroad, he has run a “juku” for high school students in Shizuoka. His painting is his “life work.”
