Implications of IEC 61511 Edition 2.0 - 2016.
More than 10 years ago the first edition of IEC 61511
standard was published defining the requirements for
"Functional Safety of Safety Instrumented Systems for the
Process Industry Sector".
After revision of the generic standard IEC 61508, the IEC
61511 has now also been reviewed and the second edition
has been published in February this year.

Rheinland) certificate
IEC 61511 have been removed, added and changed and
better aligned to the IEC 61508 requirements. Some of these
changes and additions are minor, but many have a
significant implication on engineering of systems.
Objective of this workshop / road show is to give an in-depth
view of the important changes of the IEC 61511 and to
discuss the implications with some clarity.
