This course consists of two parts. The first part is tracing and understanding
the international history of modern and contemporary era. Second part is studying
basic theories and perspectives of international relations. This introductory
course is designed for the fresh undergraduate students who are beginners for
studying international affairs and history.
授業内容
Course Description
Students will learn basic history of world politics, especially the World Wars,
the Cold War, and “the War on Terror“, and basic theories and perspectives of
international relations as an “interdisciplinary“ subject.

Method of Instruction
This course will be provided in the style of lecture according to the course
outline presented below. Each topic is corresponding to a particular chapter or a
part of textbooks listed below. PowerPoint slides will be shown in the classes.
On some topics, DVD presentation will be given for visual understanding of
international history.
Students are expected to read the designated chapters or parts of textbooks
before attending class. Students are required to obtain the textbooks listed
below before this course starts.
