6 Danforth Drive
Easton, PA. 18045
Dear Charlene,
On behalf of the Saucon Valley School Board, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and
appreciation for your professional services in your role as consultant and facilitator in our superintendent
search. To say you spent an inordinate amount of time in preparation, private sessions with our board,
and follow through is an understatement in this extensive search process. Through your detailed
planning, you enabled the SVSB to concentrate our efforts on the candidates rather than the coordination,
scheduling, and numerous other details involved in this process.
In addition, SVSD had a timeline of four months in our superintendent search. Due to your very thorough
research and organization, the SVSB was fortunate to have appointed an outstanding candidate within
three months of our first meeting. This was an incredible feat.
An overview of some of the activities you assisted us with included:
- Met on numerous occasions with the board to discuss recruitment, screening, the selection process, and
timeline
- Developed district brochure
- Advertising
- Collected and tracked applications, fielded questions from candidates.
- Provided superintendent search update on SV website
- Screened applications
- Assisted in developing questions for Interviews
-Interviews (4 nights, round one and round two)
- Reference checks
- Facilitated decision making meeting to select final candidate
-Site visit
The selection of a superintendent Is the board's most Important responsibility. You guided us effortlessly
to help us achieve a great outcome. We want to thank you for your kind and expert assistance that went
above and beyond your own responsibilities as Executive Director of CIU 20.
Sincerely,
J
,
