Product structure
The main parts of the brushless DC motor are:
» Metallic housing, shaft, flanges, ball bearing.
The active parts of the motor consist of magnets mounted
on its rotor and copper wire coils wound onto its stator.
Hall sensors ensure proper electronic commutation.
Optional attachments are:
» Gearbox, Encoders and Brakes
Produktstruktur
Die Hauptbestandteile des bürstenlosen DC-Motor sind:
» Metallisches Gehäuse, Welle, Lagerschild, Kugellager
Der aktive Teil des Motors besteht aus auf dem Rotor fixierten
Magneten und im Stator angebrachter Kupferwicklung.
Die Lageerfassung des Rotors erfolgt durch Hall-Sensoren.
Optionale Anbauten sind:

Anwendbarkeit
Diese Montageanleitung beschreibt die Handhabung des
elektrischen Anschlusses und der mechanischen Montage
von bürstenlosen DC-Motoren (Baureihe BG) mit integrierter
Leistungselektronik, Drehzahlregelfunktion und deren
optionalen Anbauten.

Applicability
These operating instructions describe the handling of
electrical connections and the mechanical assembly of
brushless DC motors (series BG) with integrated power
electronic, speed control function and their optional
attachments.

Environmental conditions
» Operating temperature range: -20°C to +60°C
» Max. operating altitude: 1000m
» Motor performance above +20°C or 1000 m operating
conditions is reduced.
» Electrical connection/ Elektrischer Anschluss
» Typically, the electrical connection has to be made with the existing connector. The drive BG 44, BG 45, BG 65,
BG 65 S are equipped with a connector for Digital/ Analog signals and logic and power supply. BG 75 has an additional connector for motor power supply.
Umgebungsbedingungen
» Die zulässige Umgebungstemperatur für den Betrieb des
Motors liegt bei -20 C° bis 60 C°.
» Der Betrieb des Motors ist zulässig bis zu einer Höhe von 1000m.
» Bei Betrieb über 20 C° und/ oder einer Höhe über 1000m ändern sich die Leistungsdaten.
» Am Motor ist der elektrische Anschluss standardmäßig mit
vorhandenem Stecker auszuführen. Die Antriebe BG 44, BG 45,
BG 65 und BG 65 S verfügen über einen Stecker für Digitale/ Analoge Zugänge und Logik- und Leistungsversorgung. Beim BG 75 erfolgt die Leistungsversorgung über einen zusätzlichen Stecker.
» Der Anschluss erfolgt entsprechend nachfolgendem Schaltbild.

If the motor is operated at voltages higher than 60V, a connector
is required that prevents live parts from being touched.
Protective earth
If the voltage supply of the motor is not galvanically insulated,
all accessible metallic motor parts must be connected to
protective earth.
All applicable standards and provisions for electrical
installation are to be followed.

PIN-Belegungen sind dem Katalog oder Betriebsanleitung zu
entnehmen.
Der Betrieb des Motors an Betriebsspannungen über 60V
erfordert die Verwendung eines zum Schutz vor Berührung
stromführender Teile gesicherten Stecker.
Schutzerde
Erfolgt die Spannungsversorgung des Motors mit
Potentialbezug, sind berührbare Motorteile an Schutzerde
anzuschließen.
Hierfür sind die geltenden Normen und Vorschriften für die
Elektroinstallation zu befolgen.

» Mechanical assembly/ Mechanische Montage:
The motor/ geared motor must be mounted using the threaded
holes in the output flange by using appropriate screws.
A sufficient tightening torque of the screws must be used.
Der Motor/ Getriebemotor muss an den Gewinden des
abtriebseitigen Flansch mittels entsprechender Schrauben
befestigt werden. Auf ein ausreichendes Anzugsmoment der
Schrauben ist zu achten.
The installation of the output shaft must be carried out by using
the centering collar. Shafts with woodruff key or feather keys
must be properly aligned and positioned prior to mounting.
Die Abtriebswelle ist unter Verwendung des Zentrierbundes
in der mechanischen Aufnahme der Applikation zu montieren.
Bei Abtriebswellen mit Scheibenfeder oder Passfeder muss
diese vorher ordnungsgemäß ausgerichtet bzw. vor dem
Montieren in Position gebracht werden.

» Check the specifications on the type plate
» Check the applicability between operating requirement
and label data
» Mounting position vertical and horizontal is permitted
» The assembly must be made without excessive mechanical
stress
» Before fixing, check the applicability between motor
and motor attachment
» Standards and regulations concerning insulation and
grounding have to be considered

» Überprüfen Sie die technischen Angaben auf dem Typenschild
» Überprüfen Sie ob die Leistungsfähigkeit des Antriebs die
aus der Applikation resultierenden Anforderungen erfüllt
» Vertikale und horizontale Anbaulage ist erlaubt
» Die Montage muss ohne übermäßige mechanische
Beanspruchung erfolgen
» Prüfen Sie vor der Montage von Anbauten an dem Motor
die mechanische Anbaubarkeit
» Normen und Vorschriften hinsichtlich Isolierung und Erdung
müssen berücksichtigt werden
