Postdoktorandenstelle in Social Decision-Making in Hamburg
Im Rahmen des Projekts „Computational Modeling of Cooperative Success“ ist am Institut für
Systemische Neurowissenschaften (Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf) ab dem 1.12.2016
eine Postdoktorandenstelle (100%) für 3 Jahre zu besetzen. In dem Projekt werden soziale
Entscheidungsfindung und die Konstruktion von mentalen Modellen mit EEG Hyperscanning und
mathematischer Modellierung erforscht. An dem Projekt, das von dem Programm „Collaborative
Research in Computational Neuroscience“ finanziert wird, ist auch die Arbeitsgruppe von Prof. M.
Spezio (Scripps College, CA, USA) beteiligt. Gegenseitige Forschungsaufenthalte sind Bestandteil
des Projekts.
Wir suchen Bewerber (w/m) mit einem ausgeprägten Interesse an anspruchsvollen
neurowissenschaftlichen Fragestellungen und einer Promotion in Kognitionswissenschaft,
Neurowissenschaft, Psychologie, Biologie, Informatik, oder verwandten Fächern. Erfahrung in der
Erhebung und Auswertung von EEG-Daten (ERPs, Zeitfrequenz-Analysen) und gute
Programmierkenntnisse (z.B. MATLAB/R) werden erwartet.
Das Institut für Systemische Neurowissenschaften bietet eine interaktive und multi-disziplinäre
Forschungsumgebung mit einem eigenen 3T Forschungs-MRT, EEG/MEG-Einrichtungen sowie
mehreren Verhaltenslaboren mit Möglichkeiten für psychophysische Ableitungen. Zusätzliche

Postdoctoral Position in Social Decision-Making Hamburg/Germany
A Post-doctoral position in the field of social decision-making is available at the Institute for Systems
Neuroscience, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany. The position is funded
through the program “Collaborative Research in Computational Neuroscience”. The project entitle
“Computational Modeling of Cooperative Success” investigates social decision-making and the
construction of mental models through EEG hyperscanning and computational modeling. The
collaborative partner in the project is Prof. M. Spezio (Scripps College, CA). Research visits in the
respective other labs are part of the project.
We are searching for enthusiastic candidates with a strong interest in cognitive and social
neuroscience and a PhD in (cognitive) neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, biology,
computer science, or a related discipline. Prior experience in the acquisition and analysis of human
EEG data (ERPs, time-frequency analyses) and good programming skills (e.g. Matlab/R) are
required.
Starting date is Dec 1st 2016 or later. The position is available for 3 years. The institute provides an
excellent multi-disciplinary and interactive research environment with a research-dedicated 3T MRI
scanner, EEG/MEG facilities and behavioral labs. Additional information about the research group
