自然と調和した地域の持続可能な発展のためには、生物多様性の保全、文化多様性の継承、合わせて
社会や経済の発展といった視点が重要であり、その実現のためには多様なセクターの関わりが欠かせ

発展のモデルケースを探る。また、日本のユネスコエコパーク活動を実例として、自然と調和した
地域の持続可能な発展に向けた管理運営と、地域住民を中心とした多様な主体の参画のあり方について
意見交換を図る。
