KUINS PPTP 接続サービスの利用方法 (Windows10 編)

はじめに [About This Manual]
KUINS が提供する PPTP (Point to Point Tunneling Protocol) 接続サービスを利用すると、自宅等の学外でインターネ
ットに接続した PC から学内 LAN にアクセス可能になり、学外からのアクセスを制限している Web ページや電子ジャー
ナル等が利用・閲覧できるようになります。このマニュアルでは、学外でインターネット接続ができている状態を前提とし
ていますので、まずはブラウザでインターネットにアクセスできるかどうか（Google や Yahoo 等の検索が可能かなど）ご
確認いただいた上で以下の設定を行ってください。PPTP 接続には、【A】 ID、パスワードを使用した接続方法と、
【B】クライアント証明書を使用した接続方法の 2 種類があります
KUINS PPTP connection service enables you to connect your PC to the campus LAN from your home or your office (outside the
university) so that you can access limited websites or E-journals which are available only inside the university. First of all, please
confirm you can access internet from your PC (e.g. you can use Google or Yahoo search etc.) then proceed the following steps.
There are 2 ways for PPTP connection, with using [A] ID and password or [B] client certificate.
1．PPTP 接続の設定 [Setting Up a PPTP Connection]
【A】 ID、パスワードを使用した接続設定方法 [How to configure PPTP connection with using ID and password]
（1）ツールバー上のネットワークアイコンを右クリックして、「ネットワークと共有センターを開く」を選択します。
Right-click the network icon in the toolbar. Select “Network and Sharing Center”.
（2）「新しい接続またはネットワークのセットアップ」をクリックします。
Click on “Set up a new connection or network”.

（3）開いたダイアログ画面で「職場に接続します」を選択し、「次へ」をクリックします。「既存の接続を使用しますか?」と表
示された場合は「いいえ、新しい接続を作成します」を選択し、「次へ」をクリックします。
In the “Set up a new connection or network” dialog box, select "Connect to a workplace" and click “Next". If "Do you want to use
existing connection?" is shown, select "No, I will create a new connection" then click "Next".
（4）「インターネット接続（VPN）を使用します」をクリックします。右図のように、「続行する前に、インターネット接続をセッ
トアップしますか？」というダイアログが表示された場合は、「インターネット接続は後でセットアップします」をクリックしま
す。
In the "Connect to a workplace" dialog box, click on "Use Internet Connection (VPN)". If you are asked to set up an Internet connection,
select “I’ll set up an Internet connection later”.
（5）「インターネットアドレス：」に学内の PPTP 用サーバーのホスト名「pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp」(pptp の後ろは数
字のゼロ)、「接続先の名前：」に任意の名前（ここでは「KUINS-PPTP」とします）を入力し、「作成」をクリックします。
※「接続先の名前」に日本語を入力すると、ブラウザによっては後に記載しているプロキシ設定が正常に行えない場合
があるので、日本語は入力しないようにしてください。
Type "pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp" (Zero after pptp) for "Internet address:” and type “KUINS-PPTP” for “Destination name:” then
click on “Create”.

（6）ネットワークと共有センターの左側メニューの「アダプターの設定の変更」をクリックします。
On the left hand side of “Network and Sharing Center”, click “Change adapter settings”.
（7）リスト内の「KUINS-PPTP」を右クリックして、
「プロパティ」を選択します。
Right-click on "KUINS-PPTP" and select "Properties".
（8）サーバーホスト名の「pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp」が正しく入力されていることを確認します。（「pptp0」の最後は数字
のゼロ）次に、「セキュリティ」タブを選択し、「VPN の種類:」の欄で「Point to Point トンネリングプロトコル(PPTP)」を選
択します。
Make sure that "pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp" (Zero after pptp) is correctly inputted as the host name. Click the “Security” tab and select
“Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)” from the “Type of VPN:” drop-down menu.

（9）次に、「ネットワーク」タブを選択し、「インターネットプロトコルバージョン 4(TCP/IPv4)」にチェックが入っていることを
確認し、これを選択した状態で「プロパティ」ボタンをクリックします。「IP アドレスを自動的に取得する」、「DNS サーバー
のアドレスを自動的に取得する」のチェックを確認して、「詳細設定」ボタンをクリックします。
Click the “Network” tab. Make sure that the box labeled “Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)” is checked. Select “Internet Protocol
Version 4(TCP/IPv4)” and click on “Properties” button. Make sure that the “Obtain an IP Address automatically” and “Obtain DNS
server address automatically” radio buttons are checked and click on “Advanced” button.
（10）開いた TCP/IP 詳細設定画面で「DNS」タブを
選択して、「この接続の DNS サフィックス:」に
「kuins.net」と入力します。
Click the “DNS” tab. Type "kuins.net" for the
"DNS suffix of this connection:" box.
※Windows10 のバグのため、(9)の「プロパティ」ボタンが押せないことがございますが、その際は(9)、(10)の
設定はスキップし、「2.プロキシ設定」に進んでください。
Due to the bug of Windows10, the “Properties” button in step (9) might not be available. In that case, please ignore the step (9) and
(10) then go to the step “2. Proxy Setting”.
すべて「OK」をクリックして終了します。次に「2.プロキシ設定」に進みます。
Click "OK" for all windows and finish. Next, go to the step “2.Proxy Setting”.

【B】クライアント証明書を使用した接続設定方法
[How to configure PPTP connection with using client certificate]
※http://www.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp/ja/services/cert/client_cert/ をご参照のうえ、事前にクライアント証明書の申請・イン
ストールを行ってください。
* Please refer to http://www.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp/en/services/cert/client_cert/ then apply and install client certificate in advance.
（1）ツールバー上のネットワークアイコンを右クリックして、「ネットワークと共有センターを開く」を選択します。
Right-click the network icon in the toolbar. Select “Network and Sharing Center”.
（2）ネットワークと共有センター｣画面で「アダプターの設定の変更」をクリックします。
In the "Network and Sharing Center" window, click on “Change adapter settings.”
（3）今までに【A】 ID、パスワードを使用した接続方法をお使いで、今後クライアント証明書を使用した接続方法に変更さ
れる場合は、リスト内の「KUINS-PPTP」を右クリックして、「削除」を選択します。
If you have already used the PPTP connection of using 【A】ID and password and want to change the connection using the client
certificate, please right-click on "KUINS-PPTP" and select "Delete".
（4）ネットワークと共有センター｣画面に戻り、「新しい接続またはネットワークのセットアップ」をクリックします。
Go back to the "Network and Sharing Center" window then click on “Set up a new connection or network”

（5）開いたダイアログ画面で「職場に接続します」を選択し、「次へ」をクリックします。「既存の接続を使用しますか?」と表
示された場合は「いいえ、新しい接続を作成します」を選択し、「次へ」をクリックします。

（6）「インターネット接続（VPN）を使用します」をクリックします。右図のように、「続行する前に、インターネット接続をセッ
トアップしますか？」というダイアログが表示された場合は、「インターネット接続は後でセットアップします」をクリックしま
す。
In the "Connect to a workplace" dialog box, click on "Use Internet Connection (VPN)". If you are asked to set up an Internet connection,
select “I’ll set up an Internet connection later”.
（7）「インターネットアドレス：」に学内の PPTP 用サーバーのホスト名「pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp」(pptp の後ろは数
字のゼロ)、「接続先の名前：」に任意の名前（ここでは「KUINS-PPTP」とします）を入力し、「作成」をクリックします。
※「接続先の名前」に日本語を入力すると、ブラウザによっては後に記載しているプロキシ設定が正常に行えない場合
があるので、日本語は入力しないようにしてください。

click on “Create”.

（8）ネットワークと共有センターの左側メニューの「アダプターの設定の変更」をクリックします。
On the left hand side of “Network and Sharing Center”, click “Change adapter settings”.
（9）リスト内の「KUINS-PPTP」を右クリックして、
プロパティを開きます。
Right-click on "KUINS-PPTP" and select "Properties".
（10）サーバーホスト名の「pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp」が正しく入力されていることを確認します。
（「pptp0」の最後は数字のゼロ）
Make sure that "pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp" (Zero after pptp) is correctly inputted as the host name.
（11）「セキュリティ」タブを選択し、「VPN の種類:」の欄で「Point to Point トンネリングプロトコル(PPTP)」を選択します。
データの暗号化として「暗号化が必要（サーバーが拒否する場合は切断します）」を選択します。続いて、認証の欄で「拡
張認証プロトコル(EAP)を使う」をクリックし、「Microsoft: スマートカードまたはその他の証明書（暗号化は有効）」を選択
したら、「プロパティ」ボタンをクリックします。
Click the “Security” tab and select “Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)” from the “Type of VPN:” drop-down menu. Select
“Require encryption (disconnect if server declines)” for “Data encryption”. Continuously, click “Use Extensible Authentication Protocol
(EAP)” then select “Microsoft: Smart card or other certificates (encryption enabled)”. After that, click “Properties” button.

（12）「このコンピューターの証明書を使う」オプションを選択し、「単純な証明書の選択を使う（推奨）」にチェックを入れま
す。次に、「サーバーの証明書を検証する」、及び「次のサーバーに接続する」にチェックを入れ、その下の欄に
「pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp」と入力します。続いて「Security Communication RootCA2」にチェックを入れて「OK」ボ
タンをクリックします。
Select “Use a certificate on this computer” and check “Use simple certificate selection (Recommended)”. Next, check “Validate server
certificate” and “Connect to those servers” then enter “pptp0.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp”. Continuously, select “Security Communication
RootCA2” for the “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” then click “OK” button.
（13）続いて、「ネットワーク」タブを選択し、「インターネットプロトコルバージョン 4(TCP/IPv4)」にチェックが入っていること
を確認し、これを選択した状態で「プロパティ」をクリックします。「IP アドレスを自動的に取得する」、「DNS サーバーのア
ドレスを自動的に取得する」のチェックを確認して、「詳細設定」ボタンをクリックします。
Continuously, click the “Network” tab. Make sure that the box labeled “Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)” is checked. Select
“Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)” and click on “Properties”. Make sure that the “Obtain an IP Address automatically” and “Obtain
DNS server address automatically” radio buttons are checked and click on “Advanced” button.

（14）開いた TCP/IP 詳細設定画面で「DNS」タブを
選択して、「この接続の DNS サフィックス:」に
「kuins.net」と入力します。
Click the “DNS” tab. Type "kuins.net" for the
"DNS suffix of this connection:" box.
※Windows10 のバグのため、(13)の「プロパティ」ボタンが押せないことがございますが、その際は(13)、(14)の
設定はスキップし、「2.プロキシ設定」に進んでください。
Due to the bug of Windows10, the “Properties” button in step (13) might not be available. In that case, please ignore the step (13)
and (14) then go to the step “2. Proxy Setting”.
すべて「OK」をクリックして終了します。次に「2.プロキシ設定」に進みます。
Click "OK" for all windows and finish. Next, go to the step “2.Proxy Setting”.

2．プロキシ設定（Internet Explorer の場合）
[Proxy Setting (Internet Explorer) ]
【A】 ID、パスワードを使用した接続方法、【B】クライアント証明書を使用した接続方法共通
[For both 2 ways for PPTP connection with using ID, password and client certificate]
（1）[スタート] → [すべてのアプリ] →[W] → [Windows アクセサリ] から、Internet Explorer を起動します。
Start Internet Explorer from [Start]  [All apps]  [W]  [Windows Accessories].
（2）メニューの「ツール」もしくは歯車のアイコンをクリックし、「インターネットオプション」を開きます。インターネットオプシ
ョンの画面で「接続」タブを選択し、「ダイヤルしない」にチェックが入っていることを確認します。「KUINS-PPTP」を選択し
た上で「設定」をクリックします。
※「ダイヤルしない」等のオプションが表示されない場合もあります。
Click the “Tools” menu or wheel icon and then click “Internet Options”. After the “Internet Options” window opens, click the
“Connections” tab. In the "Dial-up and Virtual Private Network Settings" list box, select "KUINS-PPTP" and click the "Settings" button.
（3）「KUINS-PPTP の設定」ウィンドウが開いたら、下記のいずれかの設定を入力してください。
◆「自動構成スクリプトを使用する」にチェックを入れ、「アドレス:」に「http://wpad.kuins.net/proxy.pac」を入力
◇「この接続にプロキシサーバーを使用する」にチェックを入れ、「アドレス：proxy.kuins.net」、「ポート：8080」を入力
When the “KUINS-PPTP Settings” window opens, apply either of the following settings.
◆Check "Use automatic configuration script" in the "Automatic Configuration" section.
Then, type “http://wpad.kuins.net/proxy.pac” for “Address” and click "OK".
◇Check "Use a proxy server for this connection" in the "Proxy server" section. Then type “proxy.kuins.net” for “Address”
and “8080” for “Port:”.
＊SOCKS プロキシを指定する必要がある場合は「詳細設定」ボタンをクリックして、
「アドレス：socks-proxy.kuins.kyoto-u.ac.jp」、「ポート：1080」と入力してください。
* If you need to use SOCKS Proxy, click “Advanced” button then enter “socks-proxy.kuins.kyoto-u.ac.jp” for “Address” and “1080” for
“Port”.
全て「OK」を押したら、プロキシの設定は完了です。次は実際に接続を行う手順を説明します。
Click “OK” to close all windows then the setting of Proxy is completed. Next, we show how to connect to the PPTP server.

3．PPTP サーバーへの接続
[Connecting to the PPTP server]
【A】 ID、パスワードを使用した接続方法 [How to connect to PPTP with using ID and password]
（1）タスクバー上のネットワークアイコンをクリックして、「KUINS-PPTP」を選択します。
Click the network icon in the toolbar and select "KUINS-PPTP".
（2）VPN のリストが表示されますので、「KUINS-PPTP」を選択し、「接続」ボタンをクリックします。
VPN connection list will be displayed. Select "KUINS-PPTP" and click “Connect” button.
（3）「サインイン」が表示され、ユーザ名・パスワードを尋ねられますので、ECS-ID もしくは SPS-ID とそのパスワードを
入力して、「OK」をクリックして下さい。
Input your ECS-ID or SPS-ID and password. Then click “OK” button.

（4）正常に接続出来た場合は「接続済み」と表示されます。これで接続完了です。
PPTP 接続を終了する時は「切断」ボタンをクリックしてください。
When connected, “Connected” is displayed. It is the completion of a setting.
To disconnect the PPTP connection, click "Disconnect" button.

【B】クライアント証明書を使用した接続方法 [How to connect to PPTP with using client certificate]

（2）VPN のリストが表示されますので、「KUINS-PPTP」を選択し、「接続」ボタンをクリックします。

（3）正常に接続出来た場合は「接続済み」と表示されます。これで接続完了です。
PPTP 接続を終了する時は「切断」ボタンをクリックしてください。
