網走は、北緯44度にあり、オホーツク沿岸は海が凍る南限だ。極寒のアムール
川に登場し、やがて白い大地となって南下する流氷。その流氷の衝撃的なまで
の眩しさを「流氷観光砕氷船おーろら」にのって堪能する。
Abashiri is located at 44 degrees north latitude and the shores of the Sea of Okhotsk are
the southern limit of where the ocean freezes. The ice that originates from the Amur
R iver in the severe cold winter drifts down south and the ocean becomes as white land.
