German ARC Work Sample Billie Year 11 German student work sample – Grade A Hallo Leute! Ich heiβe Billie und ich habe zwei Monate in Deutschland ein Ausstausch machen. Ich bin in einem kleinen Dorf ungefähr 15 Minuten von Dortmund mit meiner Gastfamilie geblieben. Dort habe in ein Einfamilienhaus mit einem Garten gewohnt. Das habe mir gefält denn in Sydney wohne ich in eine kleinen Wohnung in der Stadtmittel. Mein GastBruder heiβt Markus und er hat freundliche Eltern und ein kleiner Bruder. Er hat auch eine Katze und ein Hund. Zu Hause habe ich kein Haustiere, weil meine Mutter Angst für Tiere hat. Das Essen war ganz anders als zu Hause. Ich habe meistens Wurst oder andere Fleisch, Brot und Kase gegessen. Das habe ich sehr ungewöhnlich gefunden aber Markus Mutter ist eine fantastiche Köchin und alle Essen war lecker. Markus geht zu einem Gymnasium und ich denke, dass die Schule in Deutschland war schwerer als Schule in Australien. Zuerst war es sehr schwierig, weil meine Deutsch so schlecht war und ich konnte nicht gut mit anderen Leuten sprechen aber am Schluss war ich viel besser. Mein Gastbruder hat mich Deutsch gelehrt aber manchmal konnte er ungedulding sein. Man fährt vieles mehr mit dem Rad in Deutschland als in Australien, weil die deutsche Leute sehr umweltbewusst sind. Aber ich konnte nicht radfahren und ich musste mit dem offentlichen Verkehrsmittel fahren oder zu Fuβ gehen. Ich erinnere mich gerne der Austausch und ich wünsche ,dass ich viel noch länger bleiben konnte. Es war aufregend eine neue Leben zu versuchen und ich habe das Abenteuer viel genossen. Ich will gerne ein Tag zurück nach Deutschland fliegen oder noch ein Austausch machen, um mehr deutsche Kultur zu erleben.
