Cost of basic medical and dental care for all the residents is covered by the nationwide health insurance scheme at a levelof 70-100%, depending on age, income or disabilities. 2. Primary dental care for SN patients is provided by the private dentists; however, most patients are treated at the municipal dental care centers which play an important role as the secondary foothold for SN dental care. 3. University dental schools and some of the other hospitals with pediatric or SN dentists function as the tertiary dental care institutions providing the advanced treatment.
