Sunny Mountain Sommerfest
24. Juli 2016
Für leuchtende Kinderaugen sorgt beim 12. Sunny Mountain Sommerfest, am 24. Juli 2016 auf der
Dias Alpe in Kappl ein spannungsgeladenes und abwechslungsreiches Programm.
Zunächst beginnt der Tag mit einer traditionellen Bergmesse und einem zünftigen Frühschoppen.
Auf die Kinder wartet ab 11:00 Uhr ein buntes Programm, gestaltet durch den Kids-Club Paznaun,
mit Hüpfburg, Flying Fox, Go-Cart-Parcours, Zaubershow, Schminkstation, Bungee Trampolin und
vielem mehr. Ins Staunen versetzt werden die Besucher bei der Übung der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr
direkt beim Sunny Mountain See. Spaß und gute Unterhaltung sind beim Sunny Mountain Sommerfest in Kappl also garantiert.
Highlight:
Alle Besucher haben die Möglichkeit, mit der Diasbahn ab 08:30 Uhr kostenlos zum Sommerfest
zu fahren.

Sunny Mountain Summer Fair

Children’s eyes are sure to light up at the 12th Sunny Mountain Summer Fair on 24th July 2016 on the
Dias Alpe in Kappl, with an exciting and varied programme.
The day kicks off with a traditional mounting mass and a proper morning get-together. Then from
11:00, children can expect a varied programme, designed by the Kids-Club Paznaun, with a bouncy
castle, zip-line, go-cart course, magic show, make up station, bungee trampoline and much more.
Visitors will marvel at the drill by the volunteer fire brigade directly by the Sunny Mountain Lake. So
fun and good entertainment are guaranteed at the Sunny Mountain Summer Fair.
Highlight:
All visitors have the chance to get to the summer fair on the Diasbahn cable car at no cost from 8:30.

Ischgl Ironbike FESTIVAL

Der legendäre Ischgl Ironbike wird vom 3.-6. August 2016 erstmals zum mehrtägigen MTB-Festival: Attraktive Race-Formate, eine großzügige Expo-Area und Events für die ganze Familie machen den Ironbike zu dem Mountainbike-Highlight des Jahres in Ischgl.
Das Highlight und gleichzeitig der krönende Abschluss des MTB-Festivals bleibt das legendäre Ischgl
Ironbike Marathon-Rennen am 6. August mit über 20.000 Euro Preisgeld und drei unterschiedlichen Streckenlängen.
Neu ist das Rahmenprogramm mit Events für Profis, Hobbyradler und die ganze Familie. Besondere Atmosphäre verspricht die neue Ischgl Alpenhaus Trophy, ein nächtlicher Hill-Climb über
knapp 1.000 Höhenmeter auf beleuchteter Strecke. Bei der Ironbike Junior Trophy können Kids
zwischen 5 und 12 echte Rennluft schnuppern, während der Easy Ironbike als Einsteiger-Tour für
Jedermann konzipiert ist. Ein echter Show-Event ist der Ischgl Palio XCC, bei dem die Profis Kopf an
Kopf auf einem kurzen Rundkurs im Dorfzentrum den Zuschauern ihre Raceform demonstrieren.
Die neue Expo-Area ist während der gesamten Tage der zentrale Treffpunkt für Biker, Zuschauer
und Interessierte.
Ischgl Ironbike FESTIVAL

The legendary Ischgl Ironbike is set to become a multi-day MTB festival from 3rd-6th August
2016. Attractive race formats, an extensive exhibition area and events for all the family make
Ironbike the mountain bike highlight of the year in Ischgl.
The highlight and crowning finale at the same time of the MTB festival is still the legendary Ischgl
Ironbike Marathon race on 6th August, with prize money of over 20,000 Euro and three different
route lengths.
The programme of supporting events for pros, leisure riders and all the family is new. The new
Ischgl Alpenhaus Trophy promises a special ambience – a night-time hill climb up to some 1000
metres altitude on a floodlit route. With the Ironbike Junior Trophy kids between the ages of 5 and
12 get to sample the real racing atmosphere, whereas the Easy Ironbike has been designed to a
beginner’s level tour suitable for everyone. The real show event is the Ischgl Palio XCC, where the
pros race neck and neck on a short circular course in the centre of the village, showing spectators
their race form. The new exhibition area is the hub during all of the days for cyclists, spectators and
interested parties.

Festival on the Mountain

43. Internationaler Silvretta-Ferwall Marsch
20. August 2016
Jedes Jahr aufs Neue treffen sich begeisterte Wanderfreunde aus aller Welt, um beim Int. SilvrettaFerwall-Marsch in Galtür teilzunehmen. Die imposante Gebirgslandschaft von Ferwall und Silvretta,
die alpine Flora und Fauna und der gemeinsame Spaß an der Sache machen dieses Event jedes Jahr
aufs Neue zu einem Highlight im Sommer in Galtür.
Geeignet für alle Generationen bietet der internationale Volksmarsch die Wahl zwischen drei unterschiedlich langen Strecken – von der kinderwagentauglichen Familienstrecke bis zur ausdauernden
„Königin“ mit 42,3 Kilometern auf 2.665 Meter Höhe. Unterwegs können die Teilnehmer auf der
Heilbronner Hütte, der Friedrichshafenerhütte und der Lareinalm pausieren und feine Köstlichkeiten aus der Region wie den Paznauner Almkäse und Speck probieren.
43rd international Silvretta-Ferwall hike

Every year again, avid hiking friends from all over the world meet up to take part in the Int. SilvrettaFerwall Hike in Galtür The imposing alpine landscape of Ferwall and Silvretta, the alpine flora and
fauna and the shared enjoyment of hiking make this event a highlight in summer in Galtür every
year again.
Suitable for all generations, the international people‘s march offers three routes of varying length
to choose from – from the pram-friendly family route to the arduous „Queen“ with 42.3 kilometres
at 2,665 meters attitude. Along the way, participants can take a break at the Heilbronner Lodge, the
Friedrichshafenerhütte Lodge and the Lareinalm to sample fine delicacies from the region such as
Paznaun Alpine cheese and bacon.
Internationale Almkäseolympiade
24. September 2016
In Galtür können am 24. September 2016 Besucher olympischen Flair schnuppern. Bei der Internationalen Almkäseolympiade werden jedoch keine sportlichen, sondern kulinarische Höchstleistungen geboten – und das bereits zum 22. Mal.
Sei dabei, wenn mehr als 100 Senner aus vier Ländern ihren handgemachten Käse einer mehrköpfigen Fachjury präsentieren. Diese bewertet Geschmack, Konsistenz, Aussehen, Regionalität
der Zutaten und die Lochung der Käse. Wer jedoch auf ganzer Linie gewinnen will, muss auch den
Geschmack der Kleinen treffen und eine Kinderjury überzeugen. Sie vergibt den begehrten „Dreikäsehoch“.
Von 11 bis 18 Uhr können alle Besucher im Sport- und Kulturzentrum Galtür eine Probe der gezeigten Schmankerl ergattern und käuflich erwerben.
International Alpine Cheese Olympics
24th September 2016
Visitors to Galtür can enjoy an Olympic atmosphere on 24th September 2016. But the International
Alpine Cheese Olympics does not offer sports highlights, but culinary ones – and that for the 22nd
time.
Be there when more than 100 cheesemakers from four countries to present their handmade cheese
to the expert jury. The jury will primarily be assessing the flavour, texture, appearance, regionality
of ingredients and hole structure of the cheese. But those who want to win all out also have to
meet the taste of the younger ones and impress a jury of children. They are the ones who will be
awarding the coveted ‘three cheese tall’ prize.
From 11:00 to 18:00, all visitors to the Galtür sports and culture centre can get samples of the
showcased treats and buy their own favourites.

is held over several days in summer
Paznaun customs come alive
Witness close up what Paznaun customs and living peasant culture mean. Old craftsmanship
such as woodcarving, carpentry and breadmaking are presented. There‘s even a miniature model
sawmill to admire. Former mayor Josef Wechner will host the programme. Tasty, homemade
farmhouse bread is also available. This is accompanied by fitting musical enetertainemnt provided
by the „Kappl village musicians“.
