TIERVERSUCHE

Seit 2009 dürfen in der EU zur kosmetikrechtlichen Absicherung keine Tierversuche
für kosmetische Fertigprodukte und deren Inhaltsstoffe durchgeführt
werden. Allerdings müssen alle Inhaltsstoffe auch weiter nach chemikalienrechtlichen
Vorgaben abgesichert werden.
Daran hat sich JAFRA Cosmetics International Inc. immer gehalten und weder selbst
noch durch Dritte Tierversuche durchgeführt bzw. durchführen lassen.
Die Sicherheit von JAFRA Produkten wird von unabhängigen, staatlich geprüften
Toxikologen in klinischen Tests geprüft. Auch die von JAFRA angegebene
Produktwirkung wird ohne Tierversuche geprüft. JAFRA verwendet zudem folgenden
Zusatz in allen seinen Aufträgen mit Lieferanten von Rohmaterialien:
„Mit der Auftragsannahme wird bestätigt, dass keine Tierversuche selbst durchgeführt
oder in Auftrag gegeben werden für Produkte oder deren Inhaltsstoffe, die für JAFRA
Cosmetics International bestimmt sind.“

It is not permitted since 2009 to conduct animal testing in the EU for the proof of safety of
cosmetic products and its ingredients. However ingredients have to be safe concerning all
chemical and legal circumstances.
JAFRA Cosmetics International, Inc. complied every time with this legal requirement and
refrained from any cosmetic testing by itself or others.
The Safety of JAFRA products is evaluated by human clinical trials and by an independent
board certified Toxicologist and product performance claims are also evaluated without
animal testing. Our raw material Purchase Orders contain the statement:
“By fulfilling this order, the supplier affirms that it does not conduct or commission animal
testing of any cosmetics and/or household products, including, without limitation, ingredients
or formulations of such products, supplied to JAFRA Cosmetics International.”
