※日本では民間アパートを借りる際、
入居のための連帯保証人が必要となっています。
※In Japan, a joint guarantor (rentai hosyounin) is usually
required before you move into a private apartment.
連帯保証人とは？
What is the Joint Guarantor (rentai hosyounin)? ?
・連帯保証人とは通常の保証人よりも、更に重い責任を負っています。
通常の保証人は、もしあなたが家賃を滞納したり、部屋に損害を与えた場合、家主が保証人に請求を
しても、保証人は「学生（あなた）に先に請求して下さい。」と家主に言うことが出来ます。
連帯保証人の場合は、家主から請求されても「学生に先に請求して下さい。」と断ることが出来ません。
つまりあなたに請求をしなくても家主は連帯保証人に損害賠償を請求出来るということです。
・A Joint guarantor (Rentai Hosyounin) is quite different from a general guarantor (Hosyounin). They bear
a heavier responsibility than Hosyounin. For example, if you have unpaid rent, the landlord can claim
against you first. Even the landlord claims against a guarantor, a guarantor can say “please ask student
(you) to pay for it.” However, if it is Rentai Hosyounin, the landlord can directly claim against Rentai
Hosyounin without asking you.

・この理由から、連帯保証人である九州大学は、家賃の滞納や部屋の使い方が悪ければ厳しく注意をします。
・Therefore, Kyushu University, as your Joint Guarantor, harshly gives you proper guidance, if you have
unpaid rent, the bad way to use the accommodation, or anything caused of liability accidents.
留学生住宅総合補償とは？
What is Comprehensive renters’ insurance for foreign student?
※民間アパートを借りる際、九州大学が保証人となり、留学生が万一の賠償事故に遭った時の為に守っ
てくれる制度です。また、この補償は九州大学の留学生のみ加入出来ます。
※When foreign student rents the accommodation, Kyushu University will be your guarantor, and this
insurance protects the insured students against liability accidents. To apply for this insurance,
subscriber must be a student of Kyushu University.

～申込方法の流れ～
Procedure for application
≪不動産業者等訪問から入居まで≫
Procedures from visiting a real estate agent until you move into accommodation.
STEP1 : 不動産屋で部屋を決める
Decide on the accommodation with the real estate agent.
STEP2 : 連帯保証人依頼
Request to a Joint Guarantor
→学生証、在留カード、印鑑（又はサイン）を持って留学生担当窓口に申込手続きに行く
Go and bring your student ID, residence card, and seal* (inkan) to the foreign student affairs
department.
*If you do not have a seal (inkan), a signature can be used.
→学生証がまだ発行されていない場合は入学許可書
（九州大学に在籍することが分かる書類）を提出する
Submit the letter of acceptance or document to prove that you are a student of Kyushu University, if
your student ID card has not issued yet.
STEP3 : 補償に加入
Apply for the insurance
1 年間 4000 円・2 年間 8000 円・半年（更新時のみ）2000 円
1 year 4,000yen / 2 years 8,000yen / Half year (Only at the time of renewal) 2,000yen
→支払はコンビニの店舗、その他金融機関
You can pay at a convenience store or other financial institutions.
→ルームシェアの場合も相手は九州大学の生徒であり、補償に加入しなければならない
In case of room share, a roommate must be a student of Kyushu University, and apply for the
insurance.
→配偶者（夫・妻）の場合、夫婦関係が分かる書類（結婚証明書等）を提出し、
補償に加入しなくてもよい
In case of spouse, submit a certificate of marriage or documents proving marital relationship.
Husband/Wife does not need to apply for the insurance.
STEP4 : 契約書類の記入・提出
Sign the contract/submit
→支払が済んだ後、レシートもしくは振込明細を留学生担当窓口に提出
Submit a receipt or bank transfer statement after your payment.
→契約書類等に必要事項を記入
Fill in the form.
→契約書を不動産屋に提出し、署名捺印（数日かかる場合もある）をもらう
Submit a contract to the real estate agent, and get a signature/seal from them.

STEP5 : 不動産屋に契約書を取りに行き、契約書を留学生担当窓口に提出
Submit a contract to the foreign student affairs department at your school.
STEP6 : 契約書の受け取り・提出
Get a contract at the foreign student affairs department, and then submit a contract to
the real estate agency.
→学校側が行う審査・手続きに約 1 週間かかる（箱崎キャンパス以外は約 2 週間後*）ので、
書類を留学生担当窓口に受け取りに行く。
The procedure usually takes a week, so please go and get the contract at the foreign
student affairs department of your school after a week.
*If you enroll this insurance at other campus except Hakozaki, it takes two weeks to get it.
→原則、その期間前に書類はできないので契約開始日（入居日）に間に合うように各自きち
んと責任を持って契約書類を提出すること
In principle, the contract will not be ready earlier than a week. Please have a responsibility,
and be punctual, so that you will be able to submit a contract to the real estate agent by the
due date.
STEP7 : 入居
Move into the accommodations
このような手続きを行ってアパートへ入居することが出来ます。
You will be able to move into the accommodation through these procedures.
留学生住宅総合補償が使えない・大学が連帯保証人でなくなる場合
Case that you are not eligible to be insured, or Kyushu University will not be your Guarantor
(rentai hosyounin).
→大学を卒業・修了して在籍しなくなった時や、在留資格（留学）の在留期間が満了した場合、補償は
終了する
This insurance terminates when you graduate (complete) from Kyushu University or when period of
your stay (certificate of eligibility) is expired.
→補償が終了した時点で大学は連帯保証人ではなくなる
Kyushu University will not be your guarantor when your insurance ends.
※卒業後も居住し続ける場合は、不動産屋が勧める家賃保証会社のサービスや火災（損害）保険に加入
する必要がある
If you continue to live in the same accommodation after you graduate (complete) from Kyushu
University, you must apply for the insurance which the real estate agent or guarantee company
recommends.
転居
Removal
→転居する際には必ず留学生担当窓口に行って知らせる
You have to inform the foreign student affairs department whey you move to new accommodation.
→補償期間中に転居する場合、大学に住所変更等の手続きを行うことで転居先でも補償を継続して使う
ことが出来る
Even when you move to the new accommodation, your insurance is still applied to your new
accommodation, but you have to make a procedure for it at the foreign student affairs department
beforehand.
更新 Renewal
→補償期間の満了日が近付き、引き続きアパートに居住を続ける場合は留学生担当窓口に行き、必ず更
新手続き（更新する場合は一か月前から申し込みをすること）
When you renew insurance, you have to start applying for it the day month before.
※補償期間外において万が一事故を起こした場合、大学は保証人ではありませんので責任は負えません。
※If liability accidents happen to you outside the specified period, Kyushu University is not your
guarantor, so that we assume no responsibility.
解約 Cancellation
→退学・出国・その他の理由により解約する場合は、必ず留学生担当窓口に行き知らせる（未経過期間
の保険料を返還できる場合があるので担当窓口に確認する）
You have to inform the foreign student affairs department when you cancel Comprehensive Renters’
Insurance by the reason of withdrawal, departure or otherwise.
退去 Move out
→卒業・修了・帰国等で住居を出る時は、その 30 日前までに必ず大学等および貸主に連絡すること
When you move out, you must notify the landlord more than 1 month before to your requested
termination date.
禁止事項
契約者（学生本人）以外の者（知人や友人等）と届出なしに一緒に住むこと
契約者（学生本人）以外の者（知人や友人等）に部屋を貸してはいけない
You must not live with others without permission, or sub-lease the room.
There is no exception for this, regardless of how temporary the arrangement may be.
契約はとても大事なことですので、提出期日・時間等は必ず守って下さい。賃貸の
契約のみに関わらず、日本で生活していくうえで決められている最低限の守るべきル
ールはきちんと守って各自責任を持って行動すること
Your joint guarantor (rentai hoshounin) is Kyushu University. Whenever you get into
trouble to your apartment, all information goes to Kyushu University. Therefore,
please follow the rules and behave well as a student of Kyushu University.
