―学問の意義を考える―
Are people either Artists or Scientists?
皆さんはいつ頃、自分が「文系である」「理系である」と
いう風に考えるようになりましたか？
また、文系の人は理系のことを、理系の人は文系のこ
とを、お互いにどう思っているのでしょうか。そもそも、「文
系」「理系」という分け方に意味はあるのでしょうか。
今回のイベントは、早稲田にはない医学部・歯科部で
学ぶ学生たちと、文系・理系の両方の視点で議論す
る絶好の機会です。難しい専門知識は必要ありません。
自分の思いを英語で伝えたい、他大生とディスカッショ
ンしてみたい方、是非奮ってご参加ください!

Everyone, when did you first start to think “I am
artistic” or “I am scientific”? Furthermore, what do
those “artistic” and “scientific” people think of each
other? Do the words "artistic" and "scientific" really
have any meaning at all when speaking about
human beings? In this event, students from not only
Waseda but also the Tokyo Medical and Dental
college have the ideal chance to debate the points
about what makes us "artistic" or "scientific". You
don‘t need to have a difficult speciality to join in. If
you want to give your opinion in English, or you just
want to discuss with other University students, come
along and join the debate!
