Angst ist eine hartnäckige Begleiterin, aber zumeist
eine schlechte Ratgeberin – vor allem in Fragen
des Zusammenlebens. Konflikten, Katastrophen
und Krisen wollen wir daher mit großer Offenheit,
Freiheit und Hoffnung begegnen. Denn Angst, das
ist sicher, wird nie die Lösung sein. Der Aufruf Fear
Is Not an Option zieht sich leitmotivisch durch das
heurige Festival und wird in sieben Programmen,
u.a. gemeinsam mit Go Short (NL) und dem Festival
du nouveau cinéma (CA), aufgegriffen.
Hommage zum 70er: US-Animationsstar Bill
Plympton gastiert im FILMMUSEUM mit zwei
Programmen und einer Masterclass. Im METRO
Kinokulturhaus wird gemeinsam mit sixpackfilm die
belgische Künstlerin Anouk De Clercq gewürdigt.

Homage in honor of the 70 th birthday: American
animation-star Bill Plympton puts in a guest appearance at the FILMMUSEUM with two programs
and a master class. At the METRO Kinokulturhaus,
together with sixpackfilm, we pay tribute to the
astounding work of Belgian artist Anouk De Clercq.
Both artists will be present.
