Datenschutzhinweis zur Nutzung der BERLINALE 2016 APP
Der Schutz Ihrer persönlichen Daten und somit der Schutz Ihrer Privatsphäre hat für uns
höchste Priorität. Persönliche Daten werden nur erhoben, wenn und insofern dies zur
erfolgreichen Nutzung der über die BERLINALE 2016 APP angebotenen Leistungen
erforderlich ist.
Diese Erklärung zum Datenschutz erläutert, welche Informationen wir bei Ihrer Nutzung
der BERLINALE 2016 APP erfassen, wie mit diesen Informationen umgegangen wird, wie wir
Ihre Daten schützen und was es für Sie bedeutet, wenn Sie unsere BERLINALE 2016 APP
nutzen. Um einen größtmöglichen Schutz Ihrer Privatsphäre zu gewährleisten, ist es für uns
selbstverständlich, dass wir alle gesetzlichen Bestimmungen zum Thema Datenschutz

Fragen, die den Datenschutz betreffen, jederzeit an den Datenschutzbeauftragten der KBB
GmbH (per E-Mail an: [email protected]) wenden.
Personenbezogene Daten
Über die BERLINALE 2016 APP erfassen wir IP-Adressen (mit IP-Anonymisierung). Ihr Name,
Ihre Anschrift, Telefonnummer und E-Mail-Adresse werden nicht erfasst.
Nutzer der App können sich mit ihrem bestehenden Website-Account („Mein Account“ auf
www.berlinale.de) auch in der App anmelden und ihre als Favoriten in „Mein
Programm(planer)“ gespeicherten Termine wechselseitig synchronisieren. Dabei werden
beim Login Benutzername und Passwort einmalig über eine SSL verschlüsselte Verbindung
an den Berlinale-Server übertragen und die App auf dem entsprechenden Gerät zur
Synchronisierung autorisiert. Das Login und die Autorisierung müssen auf jedem Gerät, auf
dem die App installiert ist, wiederholt werden, um jeweils die Favoritensynchronisierung
nutzen zu können. Benutzername und Passwort werden nicht in der App gespeichert, die
App speichert lediglich einen eindeutigen Autorisierungsschlüssel.
Die Favoritensynchronisierung zwischen „Mein Programmplaner“ auf der Webseite
www.berlinale.de und „Mein Programm“ in der App erfolgt immer über eine SSLverschlüsselte Verbindung, dabei wird der o.g. Autorisierungsschlüssel übertragen.
Einsatz von Google Analytics für mobile Apps
Die BERLINALE 2016 APP benutzt Google Analytics für mobile Apps, einen Webanalysedienst
der Google Inc. („Google“). Dazu wird als Teil der BERLINALE 2016 APP Google Analytics
für mobile eingesetzt. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Software-Bibliothek, welche eine
Analyse der Benutzung der BERLINALE 2016 APP ermöglicht. Die erzeugten Informationen
über die Benutzung der BERLINALE 2016 APP durch die Nutzer werden in der Regel an einen
Server von Google in den USA übertragen und dort gespeichert. Für die BERLINALE 2016
APP wurde die IP-Anonymisierung aktiviert, so dass die IP-Adresse der Nutzer von Google
innerhalb von Mitgliedstaaten der Europäischen Union oder in anderen Vertragsstaaten des
Abkommens über den Europäischen Wirtschaftsraum zuvor gekürzt wird. Nur in
Ausnahmefällen wird die volle IP-Adresse an einen Server von Google in den USA
übertragen und dort gekürzt. In unserem Auftrag wird Google diese Informationen
benutzen, um die Nutzung der BERLINALE 2016 APP durch die Nutzer auszuwerten, um
Reports über die Aktivitäten zusammenzustellen und um weitere mit der App-Nutzung
verbundene Dienstleistungen uns gegenüber zu erbringen. Die von Ihrem Gerät
übermittelte IP-Adresse wird nicht mit anderen Daten von Google zusammengeführt.
Sie können die Erfassung dieser Informationen und deren Verarbeitung verhindern, indem
Sie der Erfassung widersprechen. Dies können Sie über die App-Einstellungen (unter „Mein
Account“ bzw. „Info & Social“) festlegen, indem Sie die Checkbox „Google Analytics
deaktivieren“ auswählen.

Google Analytics um den Code „gat._anonymizeIp();“ erweitert wurde, um eine
anonymisierte Erfassung von IP-Adressen (sog. IP-Masking) zu gewährleisten.

Data protection notice regarding the BERLINALE 2016 APP
The protection of your personal data and thus the protection of your privacy is the highest
priority for us. Personal data is only collected if and to the extent it is required for the
successful use of the services offered via the BERLINALE 2016 APP.
This data protection statement explains what information we collect when you use the
BERLINALE 2016 APP, how this information is handled, how we protect your data, and what
it means to you when you use our BERLINALE 2016 APP. In order to ensure the best possible
protection of your privacy, we do of course comply with all statutory provisions regarding
data protection.

[email protected], (hereinafter referred to as “KBB GmbH”). You may also contact the data

questions on data protection.
Personal data
Through the BERLINALE 2016 APP we collect IP addresses (using IP anonymization). Your
name, your address, telephone number, and email address are not collected.
Users of the app can use their existing website account ("My Account" at www.berlinale.de)
to also log in to the app and synchronise the dates of the screenings and other events
saved as favourites in "My Programme (Planner)" between the website and the app. To do
this, upon logging in for the first time the username and password will be sent via an SSLencrypted connection to the Berlinale server and the app on the specified device will be
authorised for synchronisation. The log-in and the authorisation must be repeated on each
device on which the app is installed in order for the synchronisation of "favourites" to be
enabled on this device. Your username and password will not be stored on the app, the
app only saves a unique authorisation key.
The synchronisation of favourites between "My Programme Planner" on the website
www.berlinale.de and "My Programme" in the app always takes place via an SSL-encrypted
connection through which the above-mentioned authorisation key is sent.
Use of Google Analytics for mobile apps
The BERLINALE 2016 APP uses Google Analytics for mobile apps, a web analysis service of
Google Inc. (“Google”). For this purpose, Google Analytics for mobile apps is used as part
of the BERLINALE 2016 APP. This is a software library which can be used to analyze the use
of the BERLINALE 2016 APP. The information generated regarding the use of BERLINALE
2016 APP by the users is usually transmitted to a server of Google in the U.S. and stored
there. For the BERLINALE 2016 APP, IP anonymization has been enabled so that the IP
address of each user is first shortened by Google within the Member States of the European
Union or within other States that are party to the Treaty on the European Economic Area.
Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a server of Google in the U.S.
and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to analyze the use of
the BERLINALE 2016 APP by the users in order to compile reports and to perform additional
services for us in connection with the use of the app. The IP address transmitted by your
browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data.
You can prevent the collection of this information and its processing by objecting to the
collection of the information. You can configure this option in the app Settings under “My
Account” or under “Info & Social” by selecting the check box “Disable Google Analytics”.

code “gat._anonymizeIp();” in this BERLINALE 2016 APP in order to ensure the anonymized
collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
