WORLD PREMIERES / GERMAN PREMIERES
The Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle Hamburg enjoy pushing the boundaries of classical
music and present a large and eclectic contemporary music programme for the opening
season in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Alongside 20th and early 21st century works, the
focus has been placed on world premieres (WP) and German premieres (GP) of contemporary
compositions, many of which have been commissioned by the Elbphilharmonie and
Laeiszhalle Hamburg. Some works that will be heard for the first time are still in production
and have yet to be named. A summary of the contemporary music programme follows.
