La 5ème génération, qui a déposé La marque CATOREX cent ans après la fondation de l’entreprise, était dirigée par Guy Cattin, né en 1932 et son épouse Wilhelmine. Son fils unique, Constant Cattin, né en 1818, également horloger et agriculteur, a fondé l’entreprise CATTIN en 1858. Ce dernier a eu neuf enfants dont le cadet, Numa Cattin, né en 1861, a continué la fabrication de montres de qualité, toujours établi dans le village des Breuleux, au cœur du Jura Suisse. L’entreprise est actuellement dirigée par Guy A. Cattin qui perpétue et cultive cette fière tradition d’horlogerie mécanique en se souciant continuellement de créer de nouveaux types de montres qui s’adaptent aux personnalités, aux exigences et aux goûts d’une très large clientèle d’amateurs et de connaisseurs. La 4ème génération a été assurée par ses deux fils, Armand Cattin, né en 1885, et Maurice Cattin, né en 1887. Ces deux derniers n’étaient plus agriculteurs, mais uniquement fabricants d’horlogerie. C’est la raison pour laquelle les montres CATOREX bénéficient d’une notoriété internationale pour ses produits manufacturés avec le savoir-faire d’horlogers professionnels. 1885 1887 1932 1957 Armand Cattin, horloger Maurice Cattin, horloger Guy Cattin, horloger La marque CATOREX, siège Les Breuleux 7 Our History Les Breuleux-Suisse, années 1910 The story of CATOREX Watchmakers started in the 19th century with Georges Ignace Cattin, born in 1785, a watchmaker and peasant at the same time. CATOREX became a registered brand during the fifth generation, a hundred years after its actual founding and at the time was managed by Guy Cattin, born in 1932, and his wife Wilhelmine. His only son, Constant Cattin, born in 1819, a watchmaker and peasant as well, founded the company Cattin in 1858. He had nine children. His youngest son, Numa Cattin, born in 1861, continued to produce the high quality watches, while still established in Les Breuleux, in the heart of the Swiss Jura. Today, the company is led by Guy A. Cattin who maintains the proud tradition of mechanical watchmaking while unceasingly creating new types of watches adapted to the personality, taste and need of a very large amateur and expert clientele. It is the reason why CATOREX watches benefit of an international fame, for its products manufactured with the «savoir-faire» of professional watchmakers. The fourth generation was represented by both of Numa’s sons, Armand Cattin, born in 1885, and Maurice Cattin, born in 1887. They were no longer peasants but only watchmakers. 8 Unsere Geschichte Maison CATTIN + CIE S.A., années 1880 Die Uhrmachergeschichte der CATOREX beginnt im 19. Jahrhundert mit Georges Ignace Cattin, geboren 1785, Uhrmacher und Bauer seines Standes. CATOREX eintragen, hundert Jahre nach Gründung der Firma. Sie wurde von Guy Cattin, geboren 1932, und seiner Ehefrau Wilhelmine geleitet. Sein einziger Sohn, Constant Cattin, geboren 1819, ebenfalls Uhrmacher und Bauer, gründete 1858 die Firma CATTIN. Er hatte neun Kinder von denen der jüngste Sohn, Numa Cattin, geboren 1861, mit der Herstellung von Qualitätsuhren fortfuhr. Auch er wohnte und arbeitete zeitlebens in Les Breuleux im Herzen der Schweizer Freiberge. Heute ist Guy A. Cattin Firmenleiter. Er führt die stolze Tradition der mechanischen Uhrmacherei liebevoll weiter und es liegt ihm sehr daran, ständig neue Uhrentypen zu kreieren, welche er den jeweiligen Persönlichkeiten, den Ansprüchen und dem Geschmack eines grossen Kreises von Liebhabern und Kennern anpasst. Die 4. Generation wurde von seinen beiden Söhnen Armand Cattin, geboren 1885, und Maurice Cattin, geboren 1887, vertreten. Diese beiden waren nun nicht mehr Bauern, sondern ausschliesslich Uhrmacher. Erst die 5.
