Technical Bulletin: Installation of doctor blade shims
Installation of the Delacamp HP CP4025/4525™
Doctor Blade Shims (article 60232)
1.
Delacamp shims do not have adhesive, therefore, it is necessary to install the shims
immediately before installing the doctor blade so that the shims are clamped in to position.
Die Delacamp Dinstanzplättchen (Shims) besitzen keinen Kleber. Die Shims sind daher
unmittelbar vor dem Einsetzen des Doctor Blades aufzubringen. Die Shims werden im Betrieb
durch das Docor Blade sicher in Position gehalten.

Shims are positioned on top of the cartridge hopper and are to cover the two close-set ribs
toward the end of the hopper (marked in red). This position will keep the shims level.
Die Shims werden auf der Hopperoberseite angebracht. Die Shims müssen über den beiden
letzten Verstärkungsrippen positioniert werden (siehe roten Kästchen). Diese Anbringung hilft
die Shims gerade auszurichten.

Carefully install the doctor blade making sure that the shims are not dislodged.
Jetzt das Doctor Blade sorgsam einsetzen. Unbedingt darauf achten, dass die Shims in der
oben genannten Position bleiben. Gegebenenfalls die Shims unter dem Doctor Blade wieder
gerade ausrichten.
4.
Gently push down on the doctor blade above the shim locations whilst securing the doctor
blade with the two screws. Do not screw the doctor blade in too tightly or the blade will bend!
Das Doctor Blade nun leicht über den Shims herunter drücken und es mit den beiden
Schrauben fixieren.
Die Schrauben nicht zu fest anziehen, da sonst das Doctor Blade verbiegen kann!
5.
Check the correct doctor blade position, ensuring the shims are clamped in position.
Den korrekten Sitz des Doctor Blades überprüfen und sicherstellen, dass die Shims in der
unter 2. angegebenen Position fest sitzen.
