Type of the work ☒ Master Thesis ☒ Diploma Thesis ☐ Bachelor Thesis ☐ Studienarbeit Investigation of an Asymmetrical HighPower Medium-Voltage Dual-ActiveBridge A dual-active bridge (DAB) consists of two converters connected back-to-back through a transformer. This work focuses on the study of an asymmetrical dual-active bridge in which one of the bridges produces multilevel voltage instead of two levels in conventional DAB. The tasks included in this work are: - modeling and analysis of the converter topology, - simulation and model verification in Matlab/Simulink, - analysis of soft-switching boundaries and development of a suitable modulation and control strategy, - evaluation of the converter performance with respect to conventional DAB. Prior knowledge of power electronics and control systems is desirable but not mandatory. Good Luck! This thesis is adapted for students from the following course studies: ☒ Elektrotechnik, Informationstechnik und Technische Informatik ☐ Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen (Fachrichtung: Elektrische Energietechnik) The earliest starting time: 01.08.2015 Supervisor: Ralf Bachmann 0241 80-49959 [email protected]
