Keeping the Blues Alive Award (KBA) 2015 an Bluesfest Eutin All jährlich vergibt die Blues Foundation (Memphis TN, USA) mit den KBA´s die bedeutendste Auszeichnung in der Welt des Blues in verschiedenen Kategorien. In diesem Jahr wurde die BluesBaltica/Bluesfest Eutin mit dem KBA Festival international ausgezeichnet. Damit ging dieser Preis erstmalig an ein deutsches Festival und zum siebten Mal an ein europäisches Blues-Festival. Am Freitag, dem 23. Januar, war es dann soweit: Im großen Ballsaal des Double Tree Hotel übereichte Jay Sieleman (Excutive Director der Blues Foundation) den Preis an Barbara Bloch und Helge Nickel vom Vorstand des Baltic Blues e.V. So we like to say a warm thank you to the Blues Foundation, you really make a great job with the IBC´s and KBA´s and with all your other activities over years. Maybe you know that our festival this year is running 26 years free of charge. To make this outstanding fact possible we have to say a very big thank you to all our sponsors and donators. Also a very big thank you to all the artists coming from all continents for serving countless unforgetable Blues moments. Not to ask for highest fees gives us the chance to keep the festival free for everybody. Year by year 15 up to 20.000 visitors are having fun 4 days and nights on the Eutin market square. Their peaceful way of celebrating the Blues has also to get honored with a big thank you. Not to forget our fantastic crew: At least they are realizing the dream of a peaceful international Blues meeting in a small town in the nowhere of northern Germany. Some of them were never seen- but they are so very important… Thank you again, we wish you a great time with the IBC and let´s all together keep the Blues alive!
