1915 - 2015: Im Angesicht des Krieges
Linksparteien, Gewerkschaften und Pazifist*innen in Europa und Luxemburg
im Angesicht des ersten Weltkriegs. Welche Lehren sind für den Umgang mit
den heutigen Kriegen zu ziehen?
Diese Tagung findet 100 Jahre nach der Zimmerwald-Konferenz statt. Auf
dieser suchten 1915 u.a. Vertreter*innen linker Parteien aus denen sich bekämpfenden Staaten vergebens nach einer Strategie den Krieg zwischen den
Klassen vor den Krieg zwischen Nationen zu stellen.

1915 - 2015: Face à la guerre
Les partis de gauche, les syndicats et les mouvements pacifistes en Europe
et au Luxembourg face à la guerre. Quelles leçons pouvons nous tirer de la
Première Guerre mondiale pour les guerres d’aujourd’hui?
Ce colloque se déroule 100 ans après la conférence de Zimmerwald de
1915, lors de laquelle des représentant-e-s de partis de gauche émanant de
pays impliqués dans la guerre ont essayé en vain de trouver une stratégie
pour positionner la guerre des classes sur le devant de la scène au lieu de
la guerre des nations.

1915 – 2015: Confronted by war
The aim of this event is to study the attitude of left parties, trade unions and
pacifist movements in relation to war, from a Luxembourgish as well as a European point of view. What conclusions can be drawn from this today?
Conference on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Zimmerwald Conference, where representatives of different leftists groups and parties coming
from countries involved in the war tried in vain to find a common strategy to
put forward the war between classes instead of the war between nations.
